Lenoir Golf Course

No signage, no precautions in the pro shop or on the course. You would think nothing is going on. Wow, just wow. Needless to say, I will not be back.

First time playing this course after riding by it for 20 years. Greens, fairways, bunkers currently really nice. Greens rolling nice and true with good speed. Finally made it out to play this course, I like Donald Ross courses and this one is a fun one to play. There’s a low score out there, 75 with 3 birdies today and 27 putts , it was a good day on the green mile!!!

I initially went in with a 9 hole reservation. Simply asked the staff if it would be possible to price/play 18. The staff gave a quick quote and we took it. Great course and staff.

Layout and greens awesome. Heavy rains caused water to be standing on fairways. I want to go back during the dry season.

Soooooo much better than the last time I played before they changed management/ greens keepers etc. greens are rollin true and fast. Tee boxes are very well kept and the overall condition of the course has amazingly Been upgraded. I’m excited to play again. Keep it up guys! Your killin it!!

Went in with low expectations because of the low rate but was pleasantly surprised. Course was in really good shape and the greens were fantastic. The staff was super friendly and they really appreciated us being there.

Typical old run down city golf course. Fun to play, worth the price but long over due for some money put back into it both on and off the course. Biggest gripe is greens were terrible with large bald places at most greens. I would guess that the prosperity is worth more than this course will ever make.

First time I played the course. Good value. Nice layout and very friendly staff.

Is this the most pristine course in NC? No, is it well worth the money anytime you play? Absolutely. The path can be a bit tricky but you never get lost. It is mainly a flat course with a couple elevated holes. They never charge a rider fee and tbh that is one of favorite things. My buddy doesn't always want to play but who likes golfing alone lol? It has 3 stations for water, every 6 holes and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Only a couple holes have a water hazard directly across the fairway but no lakes and the bunkers are always kept well. The greens are always mowed well even after nasty weather. However due to its flatness major rain will close it for a day to ensure you can play the next. Next time you are around please give it a try.

Courteous staff. Nice cart and decent speed of play. Course is in rough condition. Muddy spots on the fairways (we have had a lot of rain this year) and the cart paths are in need of serious repair and maintenance. Signage is somewhat lacking in keeping you on track. Price was good and it was fun for the first round for this season.

This course does not drain well at all.
It was a mudhole and I had called the night before and they said cartpath only on just one hole. A little rain overnight and I had to walk all day. Cartpath only the whole course. Sloppy and muddy

This course you can walk very easily except for one very up hill approach shot. Many who walk the course just skip that hole and go to the one around it. The greens are in great condition always, even during the winter.. They are fast where many will have enough slope on them to drive you crazy. Blame it on Donald. Most greens are elevated and it does test your short pitch/chip game. It has a nice practice area for sand/pitch/chip and driving. Nice practice putting green right next to where you park. Easy.

The course is recovering nicely, after multiple days with 2+ inches of rain . The greens are always very good. All but 1 green is raised (#5) . At thirty bucks it will still be a good value. A couple 2 dimes slowed the day. We still finished in less than 4 hrs. Good day. Bring a couple of extra golf balls.

On vacation and chose this course for its proximity and decent reviews. However, This course was in terrible shape....the greens were great but the rest of the course was practically unplayable. Not worth the money even with a GolfNow discount! Quite disappointing!

Good Municiple course. Tee boxes need to be mowed. Two much leaves and debris on the course which caused a loss of balls.
