Mid September Review

This was my first time playing Sycamore Valley, I walked with my 4 year old, we played in 1:25. The course was full, but everyone was obviously moving quickly. It is a very short executive style course, par 33, and generously 1839 yards. I think the longest par 4 is about 250 yards, and the shortest is about 190. Also, there are sprinkler heads in the middle of all the greens, just a warning.

The greens had just been aerated, and looked like they were recovering nicely. The fairways were not cut a different length, could not tell if I was in fairway or not. I will the idea of everything cut a one length, but it was too long for that. The greens were also extremely shaggy and slow.

This is a good course for beginners, decent place to work on your game, or a quick nine holes. It is what it is, it does not try to be anything more than that.
