Not Bad, but not worth $75.00
Booked at very last minute to play early in AM on Memorial Day. The staff was friendly, the course was actually in decent shape. Looks like county is going to sink some money into the place. Not worth $50.00 Green fee plus $25.00 for cart

Very pleased!!!
I read about Soldier Hills preview on Golf Now and was looking forward to playing the course. It took a year for me to be able to get a tee time and was amazed what I experienced. Happy to play on NYC public courses, my first experience in Bergen County, Soldier Hills GC will be first on my list always. Thanks to Vince from the Club house who made the day even better!!!!!

The course was disappointing
They have drainage problem, was cart path only. A number of fairways had very little grass on them. They let out single golfer in the middle of 4-somes, pace of play was slow and single golfer ended up joining the group in front of us. The ranger told us to play slower. However the greens were pretty nice. For the money, you could find a better course
Bergen County ruined a nice course
I’ve played Emerson GC for almost 20 years and it was always a good course. Since being taken over byBergen County, it has been ruined. Most of the tee boxes were dead crabgrass with dirt. Most of the fairways had large areas of barren dirt. The only good thing was that the greens were in good condition.
Bergen County should lean from other counties on how to maintain golf courses.
SAVE YOUR MONEY
This course used to be a gem and was a perfect course to calibrate driver because it is long and straight. But I was terribly disappointed today. The course conditions are deplorable. It's been getting worse since the county took over. No grass and cracks in fairways and grass in tee box is taller than tees.
There is no visual difference between fairway and rough. Overall, this course is in need of major repairs. Stay away and save your money.
Straight Long County
This is a great course when it is dry and in good condition. unfortunately, the last time we played it (after the name and ownership changed to Soldier Hill and Bergen County) it was in the middle of a bunch of rain and the course was sloppy wet. Hard to blame the county. Just know that if you are headed here after a number of rainy days this course does not drain quickly. Course plays and feels long. some really fun and interesting holes. this is a great value course when dry.
It Is a mess
The course is in horrendous condition. Hopefully the county will fix it over time....but right now don't even bother.
Overall Good
Other than having three guys in front of us playing extremely slow. It was a nice place to play.
