The Madden Golf Course is a municipal course that is suitable for all skill levels. The course was built on hilly terrain causing some elevation changes and uneven lies. The fairways are lined with trees and the average-sized greens are medium to fast in speed. Sand bunkers are present on the course and there are also water hazards that come into play on eight holes. The course starts with a challenging par-5, which requires an approach shot over a creek to a green that is well protected by a sand bunker in front. The Madden Golf Course facility also boasts a putting green and teaching pro.

This course is challenging but fun.... they are redoing the tee box areas which will greatly improve this course... price is fair, staff is friendly, food is ok!

just reseed the tee boxes and airaided the greens. But the course wiil be in great shape. Had fun playing.
Great deal
The course was in ok shape with the only issues being the greens had been aerated and most of the tee boxes were closed for reseeding. The rest of the course was fine. We played 18 holes 8n under 3 hours as it was a little cool and looked like rain. I enjoy playing this course as the fairways are relatively wide open, but there are some challenging holes where you need to place your drives accurately or else you will have a very difficult second shot.
not what it was
we had to play the back 9 twice because they were replacing greens and tee boxes on the front. we had to play from alternate tee boxes which were primarily weeds. we ended up behind a very slow foursome and there was no ranger to speed them up. Not what it was last year!
Great amenities.
Course was in great shape. They was redoing the tee boxes which shorten the course up a little bit. Other than that I would come back again and again.
The course was in very good shape had a few tees it was temporary because they put new tease in for once I get the new tease open it will be in excellent condition

Nice lay out with varying challenges! Can't wait to play again once the many improvements are completed in a few months.

It is what it is, inexpensive public course, usually not busy unless leagues are playing. Hole locations not changed on weekends so shows a lot of wear around the holes. Sand traps are always in bad shape .
Needs improvement
Course isnt taken care of in the manner it should. Greens need to be watered more frequently and bunkers need sand. Quite a few dead trees need to be uprooted and the phones system is working. Cart ran out of gas and no one answered the phone. With the dry weather , the greens don't hold a shot and with the slanted greens, almost impossible to read and putt.
Not a great place....
Not sure which is worse: the smell of the water treatment plant that resembles a backed up toilet, the constant gunfire in the background, the badly kept fairways and greens or the rudeness of the staff. It's likely the staff who could not make one feel more unwelcoMe. That's OK though, I won't be.

Way too slow
I was a single in a cart, but was following a foursome walking. They would have let me through but they were waiting on every shot as well. Looked around while waiting and didn't see a single hole with less than two groups on it. Took over 3.5 hours to get 12 holes in. I know it was a beautiful day in February, so play was going to be slow, but there is no excuse for this slow.
Fun to play. Chances to score.. great greens
I love playing here. Beautiful course and great layout. You can get a nasty smell once in awhile being next to the water plant, but still well worth the money.
