Bunkers still need some work
It seems that there has been some attention paid the bunkers over the winter. They needed it. I don't think they got to them all though. I was in three bunkers and two of them were good. The sand like everything else on the golf course today was damp (read wet). The third was full of water with no sand. I dropped out of it. It seems though they are working on them, lets hope so. Otherwise the course seems ready for play this upcoming season.
Great Day
For late winter the course is in good shape. It was a little wet and the greens wee a little bumpy, but it ws a good day
Great shape considering dry weather
Considering it has not rained in weeks the course was in great shape. Some dry hardpan areas in rough but expected due to dry conditions. Greens here are always in good shape and roll true. One of my favorite public courses in Cincinnati.
Favorite course
I love this course. Just wish the bunkers were better.
Need to fix restrooms
The restroom need to be fixed no door. Course is good .
Waldon Ponds
Started playing here in 2016.
The course is a fun layout. Good value for the 36 dollars on a weekend.
Only downside is that it's kind of a far drive.
Tough day
I didn't play well but it was not the course it was my problem.
Love the Pond
Home course...
Play here 2, 3 times a month. Super easy course with wide open fairways and solid greens. Get out here during the weekday around noon and it can be empty. Play 18 in 2 to 3 hours. Greens are quick and roll true.
Will Be Back!
I hadn’t played here for about 7 years. I forgot how great of a course it was! Very challenging, but a beautiful layout, and very well kept. Staff was excellent and the price was very reasonable through golf now. Highly recommend!
The course is fine — the staff aren’t.
They’ve been awful lately about overbooking and mismanaging tee times, but this time they really outdid themselves.
I showed up for my 3:27 tee time and made my way to the tee box. I waited for a group ahead of me to tee off and walked onto the tee box to get ready to start my round. Next thing you know I’ve got another two groups behind me telling me they’re part of a scramble and that they can’t believe the course sent me out. I was just going to tee off anyway (not my problem), but then the course ranger shows up and tells me I can’t start until the final FOUR groups in the scramble get through.
I didn’t tee off until 4:10 — nearly an hour late. There were back ups at every tee box. I didn’t come close to finishing my round before dark. The staff had ZERO sympathy. There were several groups behind me who I’m guessing struggled to finish their rounds as well. Completely unacceptable.
Customer service
For some reason the Management of the golf course is just not customer service oriented. I have many incidences where they are in bad moods and always blame golf now for any issues with T times. On this day when I arrived with my golf now confirmation I was informed that there was a mistake and that there were no T times in my name. It was stated that this was a golfnow issue. I have been refunded by golf now and given $60 to use on hot deals Monday - Thursday. Which I can not use because I do not play on those days. Granted the issue was on a Saturday. Walden ponds took no ownership in the issue and put complete blame on golfnow. Golf is suppose to be relaxing and fun without the drama and attitude. We wonder why numbers are down at golf courses across the country. Many players stop going if the staff is rude. I hope someone from both GolfNow and Walden ponds reacts to this issue I am sure I am not the only one that feels this way.
Overrated
Good:
Generous fairways for t-balls. Greens were good for this time of the year. Fairly well maintained.
Bad:
The guy in the pro shop was unfriendly. Not the first time either.
Very slow pace of play. It's just golf, move on!
Only play this course if you don't have to pay full fee.

Walden aspires to be a top notch course, and easily could be. But the group in front of us was a 5-some, which made our round longer than it should have been. A course that is possibly a high class place should never allow that to happen.
Solid but
Friday afternoon. Apparently there was a wedding (and maybe a scramble that was part of it in front of us-either way, there was some sort of tournament in front of us but we were never told about it affecting our pace of play). Back 9 was crazy slow. Maybe it was just a solitary event. I’ll try again next time.
Course is very playable and holes are all unique.
I was a single and got paired with a 2-some but they were a bit late, so a twosome behind me was allowed to go in front of me-which made my tee time technically 10 minutes later. So basically, I was penalized for 2 people I didn’t know being late. Not a huge deal but still Interesting.
Overall, very solid course with enough hazards to keep you honest but not somewhere where you’re likely to lose a ton of balls.
Too many homes throughout course, minimal privacy
Great course, great condition considering heavy rainfall recently. The only concern was that essentially all holes throughout the course were lined with housing. While drinking heavily, and the fact that there were very few wooded areas or restrooms available, it was very difficult to find a good spot to urinate. While we tried our best, people could probably see our wieners.
