Eagles Nest Golf Course

Nice layout, challenging. Fast greens, stay below the hole.

The course is pretty open and great for beginners. Most of the fairways are forgiving and the green speeds play about average. The only issue is the course holds water. After a solid week of good rain balls will plug and get almost no roll. But hey golf is fun!!

Only problem was slow play in front of us which is nothing the golf course did they were just older and slower than my normal pace.

I want to like the course but the conditions were so bad. It was swampy everywhere besides the greens. Honestly they shouldn't have not let anyone play because it was so bad, with some holes a lot worse than others. The course must not drain at all. I've played it twice in the last year and both times have been swampy

Great golf now deal at $10. Super friendly staff. The course, however, is fit for barnyard animals. Avoid.

This was the first time I played this course in 6 years. The course was much improved, however there was standing water on every hole. There was a little rain the day before and I was not expecting the course to be in that bad of shape. I thought the course should have been closed due to the amount of water. This course is flat and has very poor drainage. I look forward to playing this course again but only when it is dry.

The course was in good shape. They've done a lot of work over the winter clearing out the dead trees. The course was very clean looking.

I have been playing Eagles Nest for years and really enjoy being able to play more often thanks to the deals on Golf Now.

This course has had many improvements over the last couple of years and wet weather brings out the beauty of this course. It is very easy to see where the financial resources are being utilized to improve the layout.

The only thing I could suggest to add value to the golfing experience would be updated carts and a beverage cart.

I was running little late for my Tee Time. The staff was very nice to still able to fit me in. Course are better than most of the courses I've played, especially in November.

Played at 10:50am and the weather was PERFECT. Course conditions are just OKAY. Fairways were very hard, greens also very hard. Several fairways were in very poor shape, missing a lot of grass and crabgrass was everywhere. For the money, it's not bad, especially if you catch a "Hot Deal"

Front 9 closed,, but course booked as if there were 18. Not from rain but for planned maintenance. Could not play back 9 twice because of league. Would not give rain check because of booking dayley special through Golfnow

The greens and area around the greens are in great shape. Friendly staff, easy to walk, and good pace of play.

Nice layout. Greens were in great shape. Lots of subtle breaks and quick. The biggest problem is the fairways are trying to recover from a disease and they are not in the best shape. Tee boxes good, not great. Tighter layout than you might at first think. I enjoyed it. Just hope the fairways are on the road to recovery.

Just your average course, not bad for what I payed.
Played in less than 3hours. Course had some nice holes but was very wide open with little trouble throughout most of the course. Tee boxes need some work, but the greens were in pretty good condition.

This was the third time I had played this course this month. The first two times were enjoyable rounds of golf. This last time however, was anything but.

I played the front nine as a single and followed two women who kept up a nice pace of play. Upon making the turn, I discovered a three-some on the 10th tee. Much to my chagrin, one of the three was walking, while the two others shared a cart. WHY in the world the starter even allowed that pairing on a busy weekend is beyond me. (Had they simply let me play through, I probably wouldn't even be writing this review . . . )

Needless the say, the back nine played excruciatingly slow. I almost called it a day after the 10th hole, but decided to just try and be patient. Well, by the 15th tee it was apparent the last 4 holes would easily take more than an hour to complete, and I wanted to get on with my life.

As for the course itself, there are two MAJOR issues. First, there isn't water available to the patrons while on the course. Not a drop to drink anywhere. On an 86 degree day, it becomes a factor. (On a side note, the ball washers on each of the holes give every indication the water in them hasn't been changed/refilled in quite some time. The ones that did have water had BLACK, foul smelling, disgusting water.)

The second issue is with the tee boxes. The ground was so hard it was a challenge to even get a tee in the ground. After snapping a couple of tees (both wood and plastic) I resorted to getting down on my hands and knees and using both hands to get a tee in the ground. I found myself wishing I had a hammer with me . . . literally.

In conclusion, I will admit I had been playing Eagle's Nest because (via Golf Now) they offered an affordable weekend rate. However,
I really can't afford to spend 5+ hours on a golf course. I think next week I will bite the bullet and pay MORE somewhere else for hopefully LESS time and aggrevation.

Has a great round of golf. It was fast and not crowded. Had a blast. Can't wait to tee it up there again.

The course was in great shape. It is much nicer to play this course in the spring as opposed to summer and fall when the ground tends to become hard-pan.

Pace of play was fairly steady, with only a few minor delays on a handful of tee boxes. I played 18 as a single and at no time did I see anyone playing even two or three holes behind me.

Flat open terrain. Great to practice your shots. Undulated greens

This is nice course and a good value for the money. There is a good mix of par 3s, 4s and fives. The staff is friendly. This would be a great course to walk. The course is wide open, so if your drives are not always straight, you will still have a shot.
