Willow Run Golf Course
About
Willow Run Golf Course was designed by a ubiquitous name in central Ohio, Jack Kidwell. The local designer played a role in creating many of the state's courses but he infused a different character into each. Willow Run has an interesting layout that will test your shot making skills as well as your course management capabilities. The greens are bentgrass and the fairways are accented with Ohio bluegrass. Correct placement off the tees is the key to doing well, especially on the front nine. Plenty of water comes into play throughout the golf course as well as several strategically placed bunkers. Willow Run's back nine boasts one of the most challenging par 4s in Ohio, the 13th. The green on this tricky hole is fronted by a meandering creek.

Course was in great shape. Greens were firm and hard to hold. Great value!
The good, bad and ugly
Greens in good condition. Challenging. The fairways need cutting with consistent 100/150/200 yardage markers to middle of greens. Tee box yardage on par 3's needed. Golf cart pathways mostly full of potholes and ruts. Could be a real gem otherwise.
Willow Run
Overall I am impressed with this course, especially for the price. The layout is nice and open with some great par 5s. The tee boxes and greens were in great shape for the time of year. The only negative I have to say about the course is the carts have seen better days and the reason for the poor carts are probably the terrible cart paths that beat them up. The clubhouse/resturant and bathrooms are also outdated but they get the job done. If the cart paths were fixed this would be a 5 out of 5 star course.
Fair for the time of the year
For the first time out and the time of the year the course wasn’t bad. Can’t complain to much for paying less than $30. But those golf paths are rough! Felt like I was off roading around the entire golf course.
a little wet
cart paths needed work. a few of the holes had large trees in the middle of the fairways. Never know why you would be penalized from hitting a good drive. just to have to hit around a tree. would play it again.
Great Course
We had a fun pre-season round at a great price. Thanks for offering a great deal on GolfNow/TeeOff.
Decent course for the money
Course conditions were decent, layout was awesome, not too difficult of a course to play. Only issue is the cart path is like going off roading in a cart. Almost got throw out a few times and my clubs were rattling around in the back like crazy. Once you get past the bumps, the course is a great value for the money
Could use some TLC.
A couple of the fairways were in pretty rough condition. Cart paths were in really bad shape.
Great Value/Course
I grabbed a 3:50pm tee time on Friday last minute with a pay now and save for about 25 bucks. I arrived and got checked in at the pro shop, and was kindly given a rundown of any info I needed, as well as warnings of the cart path conditions. I'll get this out of the way right now as my only true con, and it was the cart path being an absolute menace of an off-roading adventure track it felt like. Aside from that, I truly had no complaints! The greens were in very good condition, considering our weather inconsistencies as of late. They were cut nicely and didn't have any major flaws on any of the holes besides your normal ball divots that some choose not to repair. All of the tee boxes as well were awesome, some of the best maintained I've seen at almost any course at this point in the year. I will give praise overall to the grounds, as everything was either as good if not better than I expected. Their fairways aren't super short cut, but are consistent and easy to play off of. The rough was also very consistent and playable off of almost any spot, which is something that's becoming more rare at public courses I feel. The layout of the course was simple and easy to keep pace with, and I enjoyed a lot of the individual hole layouts, as I found myself being challenged with new types of shots to shape and attempt decently often. I also have to mention that I loved the atmosphere that existed on the course, it was very visually pleasing at most all points, and provided me with a very peaceful and relaxing time. All in all, this is one of the best courses I've played in a while, especially considering it is one of the lower priced courses to play on the market.
Nice rural course.
Very nice place. Had a great round.
Electric carts are always a plus for me.
