Just get a ranger
The conditions are much improved from what they’ve been. Greens and tee boxes are in much better shape. Layout is great as always. Biggest complaint is get a ranger, just finished close to a six hour round due to one group being incredibly slow.
Amazing Back Nine
The back nine, featuring the intimidating 12th and 14th, offers a truly unique golfing experience you will need your A -game to survive. Bring a half dozen old golf balls just in case. There’s a river, wetlands and pock bunkers to watch out for. The front nine is more open but it’s also well above average layout and condition than most public courses.
Much Improved
I played this course earlier in the year and it was in bad shape. I gave it another try after hearing they had a new greens keeper.
The change is remarkable. This course is in the best shape it has ever been. Greens are very good. Tee boxes are improving but still need some work.
They need to give that guy a raise!
Unfortunately not worth playing late in the summer...
Tee boxes were in terrible shape, looked like no maintenance had been done all summer - so tees were placed in the small areas that were not hacked up yet, frequently in a corner of the box with uneven stances. Course just looks generally unkempt throughout the summer. They also do not have rated tees to post scores for GHIN - definitely not worth their asking price.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve and are working diligently to improve the course. Thank you for playing and we hope to see you again soon.
Course was very nice. Some confusion on the way the course goes and no maps on where holes are. Pace was very very slow. Was frustrating at times.
Nice course
Super beautiful course. The back 9 are challenging but it’s a good time. And staff is super friendly
Your average golfer
A buddy and I played this course one last time before moving out of state, last time I played this course it was in great shape, this time not so much tee boxes weren’t mowed and the tee markers weren’t on the tee box thought they were gonna mow them but not a mower insight, the greens were really nice ball rolled good, not to wet and not to dry, the fairways were mowed but there was a lot of clumped up dead grass in the fairways. The day got better on the back 9 when I got a hole in one on number 11, it was my first one so I was super pumped, kinda disappointed to find out when I got back to the club house they don’t do anything to recognize your hole in one even with a witness and video of it, the guy in the club house was kinda rude when I told him I got a hole in one, real sarcastic oh wow way to go, must be nice

Last Resort Only
This course has struggled mightily since it was built. The layout is terrible.
#2 green is 4-5 yards wide at most.
#'s 4 & 5 are horrible dogleg rights. The green on 5 is a joke.
#12 is a circus hole that is missing landing areas needed to make the hole playable.
#14 back tee box is 80% blocked off on the right by a tree, then you hit the fairway and the ball goes left onto a sidehill lie or into the woods. It's also a par 5 with no landing area for a 2nd shot.
#15 back tee has branches that get in the way of your backswing and the green has a 2 foot high ridge in the middle for no reason.
#17 green possible the worst part of the course, somehow.
Go play anywhere else. Unless you like instant and constant regret. They charge too much to play the worst course in the area. You may think I have a vendetta against the course or the owners, but I just like to play decent golf courses.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We understand your frustration with the construction projects underway. Please bear with us as we work diligently to make improvements. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Decent layout, not a premium experience
Course was in nice shape late July 2022. Staff was MIA when we arrived for our 7:04 tee time. Lights were literally off in the clubhouse. We flagged down the ranger and he went and roused the pro shop manager from whatever he was doing in his back office, and the guy unlocked and opened up the pro shop. Bush league management. The clubhouse itself is dated and looks like it’s seen better days.
The course plays well. The layout is tight with a lot of doglegs. Greens are generally rolling true. All in all a fun day.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Roses Run Country Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Declining Rapidly
I’ve played this course a dozen times over the past 3/4 years. The conditions seem to get worse every time I show up. Tee boxes are in very rough shape. Large dead patches in the green and on the fairways. Carts are on their last leg, very banged up. Course has plenty of potential, it’s just not taken care of anymore.

Horrible layout, No fun
Most tee shots are blind and tight. Houses right on top of the fairways. 3 out of 4 par 5’s you cannot use a driver off the tee. Tee boxes haven’t been mowed for weeks. Several look like the rough.
We’re sorry to hear of your less-than-satisfactory experience and hope you will accept our sincerest apologies.

Overpriced for Conditions
What you pay versus what you get is wildly unrelated at Rose's Run. Played it for the first time since 2019 and it has gone down hill considerably in three years.
Paid a prime time rate of $52 for a Saturday morning tee time and the conditions were worth about $35 maximum. Here's why:
1.) Most tee boxes a.) have lots of bare spot b.) have lots of weeds and c.) are in generally poor repair. Often times hard to find a good footing without stepping into a divot or the like.
2. The carts are in bad shape. Had to return the first cart I got as a.) it had a hole in the roof b.) the floor mat was ripped and c.) the gas pedal was bare metal (The rubber cover was missing). The cart guy was surprised when I told him I was getting a new cart. Also the carts are a mish-mash of hand-me-downs from other courses. One whole fleet have GVCC emblazoned on them.
3.) Green were so-so shape. Had to take relief on some greens due to burn out and dead spots in the line of my putt.
4. They have netting up on a couple of the front 9 tee boxes which is badly tattered and weathered. Take it down....it looks terrible
5.) Few ball wahsers on the course...and the few there were there had no water in them making them unusable
6.) The range is shut down so no option to warm up.
So all in all, not worth $52 given the conditions all around. And due to the layout of the course, walking is impossible so you can't save a few buck that way.
They really need to invest in it as these conditions will continue to turn away players. Or lower the price to meet conditions as it is not worth $52 for prime tee times.

Rudest Maintenance crew
Played this course multiple times in the past never a problem. Some of the rudest course maintenance crew I’ve ever run across on a golf course. Cut across fairways without looking while teeing off - multiple times. Standing in the middle of greens while trying to hit on. Turning on sprinklers on us as we were playing a hole Place has gone down hill big time
