Beautiful course! Great price!
Gleneagles is one of the nicest courses in the area!
Very good course
Price was excellent. Course is challenging, but fair. Fast greens and grear fairways. Disappointed that quite a few holes on back nine were going thru extens ive repars, but this is the end of the season and I understand. Will be back next year.
Good course- lots of construction now- will be better next year
I am a regular here, so I may be biased, or well-informed. The greens were recently aerified and top-dressed, but rolled well and in very good condition. Fairways were also very good, with no bad lies to speak of. Most tee boxes on back nine were under construction, with temporary tees in front of original tee boxes. This is a much needed change, since Gleneagles has had problems with tees not being level. Many fairway and greenside bunkers are being constructed/installed as we speak, and won't be ready on the back nine until next year. This is a good public course at a fair price, that has been improved, and will continue to improve next year. If you haven't played Gleneagles recently, I would say wait until 2016 when most/all the changes have been implemented. The driving range is also vastly improved and expanded
The course is under construction now with many changes.
Holes 10 - 18 are under construction and sure have been shut down for all of the changes, all tee boxes are moved up the the front of the fairways without warning from the pro shop or signs. The staff was negative toward Golf Now booking service, "We do make anything from golf now booking so you can talk to them about you problems. I respect what golf provides for me as a golfer and think that if the course doesn't like using GN, they need to get out of the relationship. But the changes to the course are going to make the course better "next" year
Good course
Front nine are good, even some maintenance on green. However, lots of working on back nine. Hope it could be done before the beginning of next season.
Nice Course - Great Condition (Outside of irrigation work)
Never played here before but the course was in great condition considering all the dry weather. They were updating sand traps and doing irrigation on a couple of holes which created an obstacle.
The greens and the doglegs made us use all clubs in our bag. Perfect course for the mid to high handicapper.
Not bad for Sunday afternoon
I thought for Sunday afternoon the pace of play was fine. The tee boxes however are disastrous. Maybe 3 out of 18 were flat, the rest are all convex so the ball was either way above or below my feet. Some greens appeared to be much slower than others.
Pretty good
Course is always in pretty good shape. Greens a lil tricky. Only negative is course doesn't seem to drain well after rain. I play anytime I can catch them on a hot deal.
Great Course, Great conditions
The course is in fantastic shape, such a beautiful/hilly course. Not your typical boring flat course. Loved the layout on the front, we only played the front.
Only negative, the range/practice greens and first 2 tee boxes were reseeded, so none of that was available. That was a bummer, but it looks so nice and is close to ready. Can't wait to go back when open.
Good course - some changes being made
The course has some changes being worked on. Otherwise course was in good shape
Blue vs. white tees measurable
My group wanted to play from white tees being first time out this year. Noticed the Blue tees added impressive distance and site changes that would definitely increase the difficulty factor. Nice round from the whites though. Much green undulation made for very interesting putts.
Renovations underway
Front nine is undergoing renovation, which required us to play the back nine twice. Back nine is supposed to be renovated in 2015. Hopefully they will install drainage tile, as the biggest problem besides all the blowing leaves, are all the wet areas, that judging from the tire tracks and ruts are a constant problem. The layout is good and with the proper renovations could be a top notch course. If the renovations to the practice area meet the design drawings it should be a top level facility.
Course is under serious renovations
This is a nice course, better than the surroundings. It was more polished with the extras (not the actual course itself) it would seem a lot nicer. I gave a low rating now, because its going under several renovations on the front nine. Otherwise this would get a much higher rating from me.
Sept 14
They currently have a few holes torn out and this was never mentioned before booking. The greens had so many ball marks on them that I had to fix many before I could even putt. They "wedged" 2 junior golfers (walking slowly) in front of us at the turn at 2pm on a Sunday. These 2 had an entire hole open in front of them almost immediately and did not know the courtesy to allow us to play thru.
Under Construction
I did not know that the course was under construction and 2 holes were not playable. Also, at 11:49, I booked an 11:57 tee time. I called the course and told them I just booked the tee time and was on my way. By the time I got to the golf course at 12:08, there was a small outing with 3 groups that had already teed off in front of me so I skipped the first 2 holes. Lastly, when I explained to the starter that I booked the tee time at 11:50 and my office is 15 minutes away from the course, he was very rude and stated he doesn't like golfnow golfers. Maybe he didn't understand his comment was offensive to me because I am a golfnow golfer but I think I'll just play a different course going forward.
I love reading these comments and how OFFENDED people get. It makes me laugh and sad at the same time to think we as a society are weak and weak minded...First u booked a time at 11:57 and show up at 12:08...u shouldn't even played at this point. But went on to demand the typical to much which u don't deserve....

Nice course.
Love this course. Staff is friendly. They are working on the front nine so there are some holes that are under repair. Driving range is also closed. Nice that they're fixing up the course. Played the back nine only due to rainy weather. Got soaked and had to hold an umbrella in front of the cart to keep the rain off of me while driving. Carts do not have windshields. Will go back to play this nice course but not if it looks like its going to rain. Don't mind getting wet but blasting in my face while driving the cart is not fun.
Great condition.......!
Good layout from blues or whites. You get to use all your clubs.
Great Layout. Wide Fairways. Short but not too short
Played here 5 times in the last two months. Love the layout
Words of advice...People
pay attention to course alerts posted on golfnow and NOT the price....
