International at Cedar Valley
International is more of an open course with wider fairways than Augusta. Fewer trees and a lot of water hazards. It seems longer, but really isn't. There is an island hole that is unique for Oklahoma. There are some par 4 & 5 holes that are long approach holes.
I like this course and the senior fee with a cart is only $29.00 during the week days.
Augusta is a very mature course that opened in 1975. Large trees line every fairway. A great course to play and fairly easy to walk.
Probably not again
Tee boxes and greens were in good shape.
The course however was in terrible condition. Grass length in the fairways was so high you would lose balls after hitting a perfect fairway shot.
When staff was informed the answer was, "we're dong the best we can". UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Fairly good
Other than the large dead, rough patches on the greens, Cedar Valley international is a very nice course. It has a great practice green and a nice three layer driving range.
Probably not as nice as it COULD be......
This course is for the most part,a nice course. For a nice little get away from the "big city" courses. Although, they really don't do much maintenance to the fairways and greens, it's still a nice place to play. The staff is very friendly and the food about average. At this course, you are about 10-15 minutes west from Guthrie, with a few eating places to choose from, 15-20 minutes north of Edmond, with several eating places to choose from, or about 25-30 minutes from North Oklahoma City, where there are many eating places to choose from.
I've been playing here for about 10-13 years & have never been turned away, even if I didn't have a tee time. This course, (& all of Duffy's courses), does not have sand traps, but there are plenty of water hazards. Duffy told me that, "This is a place where the average golfer can come to play & enjoy themselves, without having to worry about sand traps. However, he did say, if I wanted to play in the sand, the Cimarron River was only about a mile or so north of the course & it's a wide open place to play". Then he gave a slight chuckle & just drove off. ((He really is a very nice guy))!
If you want a big fancy course, with all the thrills, chills & overpriced amenities, stay in the big city! Duffy's courses are always busy, the staff is always friendly, & you'll have a great time because you are always welcome!!
Fun, fair scenic layout
Some reviews seem to only focus on the negative. I like to play here because it is a scenic track that is very peaceful.
The pace of play is fantastic.
The course conditions are a bit challenging at times but the greens although a bit on the slow side are usually in good shape.
No bunkers, fairways are OK but can be a bit dry in the late summer months.
Go play, just not too much as it will spoil my "getaway" golf course.
giant ol' junky ol'nasty course
the greens had hazards right in the middle of them, oh wait that was just the spring rot mold they have been culturing for the last 5 yrs.
I had to chip around those several times. we played in the summer but by lookin at the fairway you would have thought is was winter the grass was just brown. my dad used to brag about how great this course was when i was growing up. so i thought i would try it out . payed like $$ to play and get there. but this place needs $$$$$$$$$$$ in maintenance. total disappointment here folks play in edmond ok just dont play this course.
