Surprisingly Good Value
I have played Mohawk a few times, course conditions were very iffy. But this time out it was the best I have seen it. YES, theres still room for improvement and some bald spots in the rough, but I likened it to playing a desert course in AZ. But the greens were spongy, and bouncy, Fairways were hard yet, favorable lies. Tee boxes were fair, obviously, they had been played from. But overall was one of the more enjoyable rounds I played this last weekend. I played in Sand Springs and Claremore and honestly the conditions of the course, pace of play was perfection. I also set a PR with a 73 on Pecan Valley. Friendly short front but more challenging back 9. Was just a day where every club was the right club and every shot was pure. Will be back.
Good value
Had fun. Fairways and sand traps need improvement. Greens were decent.
Stay Away
Ive played the Woodbine Course multiple times, but this was my first time playing Pecan Valley.
Do yourself a favor and stay away. Horrible course and conditions. Countless goose turds on every green, limbs down everywhere, and the bunkers. The bunkers probably havent been real bunkers in about 14 years by the look of it. They were hard packed dirt, and 1/2 gravel all through them. Never again,,, now I know why it was the only course I could get on that particular day.
Goose poop totally covered the greens, tree limbs were laying everywhere. The smell of dead animals and dirty smelly water was everywhere. My truck was broken into in the parking lot and my wallet was stolen out of my truck.
Terrible conditions
Terrible conditions. No bathrooms available outside of clubhouse. Never playing here again.
Course conditions
This is the worst golf course I have ever played on. The fairways were in the worst condition possible! If your ball lands in the bunker you might as well take it out cause there are rocks all in it, unless you wanna damage your clubs. Greens, horrible and bumpy. Stay away from this course!
Mohawk pecan valley
Greens in good shape fairways was a mix of grass and bare spots. To be expected middle of summer 105 degrees. Overall was good day. Staff was friendly and food was good.
Has declined rapidly over the past few years
Sand traps are full of gravel, greens are more sand than grass, quality of grass throughout is very poor. Your ball can hit the green really hard and it still won’t make any kind of divot. It’s disappointing how poorly this course has been taken care of. Standing water everywhere due to such poor drainage that you will lose your ball in, even in the middle of the fairways and sand traps. They will have to invest a ton of money and time into this course to bring it back up to a decent condition. Hate to see how bad the course is now
