Wonderful Day!
We had a lovely day out at the back 9 today. We were prepared and ready for the rain, but not the drunkies who were taking their time playing in front of us. All in all though can’t really complain about much ☺️
Fun course!
Great layout and interesting hole designs. Have to think about shots off the tees to be able to score. Greens are in great condition, with enough slope and speed to be challonging.
Relaxing day at Old Back Nine
The course was in nice shape and not very busy. It’s a good nine hole course, fairly short but quite scenic. The weather was perfect and the unhurried pace led to a relaxing day. I’ll definitely be back.
Good Nine Hole Course
Old Back Nine is a very well maintained and convenient 9 hole course. The staff is always very helpful and pleasant. Although there are no bunkers on the course, the narrow fairways and mature trees will keep you focused to hit straight. The recent addition of GPS is a real plus as well. Old Back Nine fills a niche as a golf option if you are a little short on time.
Great fun!
Just right for 9 holes.
Very Close to S Bend
Nice course in excellent condition. Somewhat narrow fairways with some pesky trees placed in the fairway area. Pretty course with some mountain views.
Nice Course
I wanted to squeeze in a round so tried this nine hole par 36 and glad I did. Course is fairly short but the narrow tree lined fairways test your skill. Greens were good but much slower than I’m use too. Very reasonable cost through Golf Now. Many walkers so pace can be slow if crowded.
Poor service for quality price
Been golfing here for almost a year now. Consistently for 6 weeks and the staff has gotten more rude while the price has gone up. While I understand most of the courses in town took a beating from the winter, I don’t see why I’m paying 30 dollars for 9 holes when I could pay 40 for 18 somewhere else. Today we had 2 golfers in 1 cart. The staff put a pair of walkers in front of us and a group who was playing through a second time behind us. So we were constantly being played up on while we were trying to be respectful of the group in front. At the end we told the staff “We were being played up on when we were trying to be respectful of the walkers in front of us. Anyway we could change that?” Their response? “We play quick golf here” well I won’t be playing here anymore. A long list of issues very similar. Better off going down the road to Lost Tracks and paying 60 dollars to have an amazing day of golf. Hope this helps someone avoid a horrible first experience or a poor repeat experience.
Outstanding Experience
The Old Back Nine bent over backwards to help make our family reunion's golf outing a tremendously FUN experience for 21 of us.
The Old Back Nine is a nice course for all skill levels.
Even though, we are predominantly beginner golfers, Larry and Jim treated us like royalty! This put everyone at ease for the round.
Several family members remarked what a pretty course it is and how the golf outing was a highlight of the reunion.
Great low-key golf
Course was in great condition, it was my first time playing the Old Back Nine and it exceeded my expectations. Greens were in good shape. Big trees are everywhere, no sand or too much water that comes into play. I will return.
Paul = Rude customer service
I've been here about 4 times. This last time I brought my fiancé out to play for her first time at the Old Back 9. This was the 3rd time she had ever played in her life. We had a later tee time almost at 5 pm. I let Paul know that she new to golf and that we would be moving slower. To be nice we let two sets of people play through. We got to the second to last hole where the club house was within view. As we were teeing off we heard Paul yelling at us from the club house. He was yelling "Hurry up!". I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I understand that we were taking a long time as we are new to golf. But to yell at us from about 100 yards away is ridiculous and extremely rude. We were already frustrated with the game itself and to add the pressure from Paul to "Hurry up" caused us to quit for the day. I drove the cart up (which I had paid for for the entire 9 holes) and dropped it off thinking Paul could clean it, go home, and stop yelling at us. He rudely informed me that he still had to wait until we were off the course AND that we were "taking forever". Although now we were walking, even after paying, which probably caused him to have to wait longer. We finished the hole we were on and skipped the last due to Paul's ruddiness. SO... I payed for 9 holes times 2. A cart for 2 for the 9 holes. And we didn't even finish the course and turned in the cart early due to the way we were yelled at and made to feel extremely uncomfortable. I thought this was a good course to learn golf at. I was wrong and we will take our money down the road to Lost Tracks or one of the other courses in town that are budget friendly to the new golfer. We will not be back and will never recommend this course to anyone. So if you're new to golf DO NOT go to the Old Back 9. You might just get pushed off the course and not get your monies worth.
