Member-owned club since 1914. They have a wait list for new members, but if you love golf and you work or live anywhere downtown, the Pearl District, NIke, Tektronix or Intel, this is the only place to consider. A treasure.

Looped today for a weekly home course playing partner playing in a state golf tournament here. We were highly impressed. While it is one of the more exclusive private clubs in the area , we sure found everyone on staff quite friendly and helpful. The course was challenging, hilly and immaculate! Century or older tall beautiful fir, cedar, birch and pine trees line the manicured fairways. There are many many bunkers that are perfectly maintained .The fires were oiled ice and rolled true. There are several water hazards as well. Find a way to play here. Bring your A game.

I've had the pleasure of playing this Portland gem a handful of times in the last few years. It's really a classic Willamette valley course, big tall trees, very green, quiet and pristine.

The course itself is in immaculate condition. The members take great care of their course. The fairways are as good as some greens in Oregon, and the greens are lightning quick with major breaks from years of settling in.The fairways are also tight, and you'll run into some ponds and creeks from time to time.

Another nice aspect of the club is a great pool and a newly renovated dining area. It's a full concept country club and everything about it is superb. Located on the west side of Portland.

I hope to be a member someday, and if you're under 40 yrs old now is the time to join as well. The membership director is also a great guy and a great player.
