Awful
Saw a Hot Deal on one of the first nice Saturdays of the year. I booked the round, drove an hour plus to the course and was greeted by an extremely rude older gentleman. When I said I prebooked the round online he said "well that’s not the price your going to get" and proceeded to point to the signage behind him that stated a round was 50$+/ each with a cart in Feb mind you. Since I prebooked with golfnow and the cart was included for a price of 20$/each I originally thought he was just confused. He continued to get loud and tell me he didn’t care what "the online" said that he was the only person there and didn't know how to do that. Now, I understand not knowing how to use or ring up a golfnow customer. But then to try to charge more than double the advertised price, does that make any sense? I use golfnow 20 times a year and have never had ANY issue like this. Why take out your aggression on me because you can ring me up at the correct price? I would love to discuss this with management if anyone is interested in hearing more about this. So after arguing for about 5-10 minutes over the price, he then tells me that I can pay the online price but only play 9 holes?? Seems like this man was in a bad mood from the minute I walked in the door. I walked out and called golfnow and canceled the round with no apology from the man or the course. It seems like a great course but after that awful experience I won't be back any time soon.
Maybe last round of the season
Beautiful day, hooked up with friendly golfers, course conditions and pace of play excellent and fabulous price booked through golfnow. ps Didn't hurt that I had one of my lowest rounds of the season also!
Overall it's okay
It's been a long time playing again here as worst staff. Now overall good specially green conditions.
This course has great design
Course in great condition considering it's the fall great job by the grounds crew with the leaves perfect weather will play again.
Great Course & Great people
Whole family golfs at Limekiln a few times a month, father is involved in a few leagues, and always a good time. A lot of challenges with the course without being too tough to an average golfer, great opportunity on many holes for driver to iron to green if hit correctly, but water on a couple holes as well as need to keep in the fairway because rough is tough. Par threes can play one of two ways, a bit long or short and precise. Pro shop people are friendly, and great staff if hungry or thirsty to get you whatever you need at the 19th hole.
Old style course
This course has lots of doglegs so,course management is essential to scoring well. The greens were in very good condition although a little slow. The fairways were hard and tight (meaning that they were cut real low).My partner didn't like the fairways but, these are the type that I grew up playing. This is a very enjoyable track and fair to both big hitters and shorter.
Perfect greens
I snagged this round for $20. Some burn out spots in the fairway which I expected but the greens were superior.
Great Value
Nice staff, nice course and great pace of play.
I would definitely play again especially when I am playing as a Single. The staff makes sure you are paired up with someone else so you do not have to play alone.
OK track - wish we got 18 in
Course was in good shape after a day of rain. Started on Blue and it was really backed up. Let us jump to Red after 6 holes which was nice. Really liked layout of Red and pace was great. Tried to get the last 3 in on White which was completely open according to starter but Pro Shop wasn't having it - bummer not to get 18 in.
Great golf, nicely kept course
Booked tee time on Golf Now and was paired with another single player and a couple. The golfing company was great, the course was in very nice condition, i.e. fairways were cut nicely, the rough was manageable for all player levels and the putts rolled true on well manicured greens. I'll definitely be playing here again.
Great course
Was paired up with a twosome and another single. I had a very enjoyable round with this pairing. The course was fine condition, the greens were just a little bit slower than I like but as I said, just a little. They were very puttable. As a senior, I have the most problems with golf courses being too long from the senior tee box. Not the case here. A nice mixture a hole distances made it an enjoyable round and I found myself bringing every club out of the bag. This was a great deal for $20 bucks and will definitely play here again.
Nice Course
Course was in very nice condition, The greens were aerated 7 to 10 days prior to my play and still rolled true. In a couple more days the greens will be slick and fast. The course is not the longest but it has plenty of sucker pins tucked behind bunkers. All in all a good value and enjoyable round.
TM
One of the best courses in SE Pa. Staff is great including Drex and Tommy. Played white/blue. Red closed for aerating. White/blue aerated earlier in the week so because of the sandy conditions on the greens, it took a couple of holes to have a better judge of the speed. Recommend this course to all levels of golfer.
Nice round
Got out before my tee time. Played in four hours on a Sat!! Enjoyed the layout. Will be back soon.
Red 9 was nice.
Played Blue to Red. Blue course was relatively flat with mature trees, high rough, and bunkers protecting the holes. Red course had nice, but not drastic, elevation changes which are enjoyably challanging. Pace of play was normal at around 4 hours. Rough was"rough" but greens were in awesome shape where your ball rolled true. Nice course for a first time play. Close to home so, will surely be returning at some point. Enjoyable round.
Hot deal
The course which was wide
Open made us play with two other people one who was a similiar plAyer, the other was 80 years old..this slow the entire course up and caused a round that I was looking to finish in under 4 hours to almost 5..I understand the hot deals are set but it was unspecified that I would
Be grouped with others, I understand that happens but the way it was handled was unprofessional. I don't think I will return
Very good golf course.
Enjoyed the course. Got stuck behind a very slow foursome but that happens. Staff was very friendly.
worth the money
I paid $25. to play here. Its an average course but well worth the money. the greens were fairly true for a public course.
A nice round but
Have played this course many times and Always found it enjoyable.
Today a threesome blocked the the last nine forever and a late showing by a Marshall failed to alleviate the frustration of many groups
I would still return
