A good test
A course that demands hitting fairways.punishing rough.A nice combination of uphill and downhill approaches.Requires all types of shots.Fun!
Nice overall course
First of all- staff was awesome. Got there and the Mgr had not made it in but the superintendent gave me a key and told me to settle up at the turn!! I was the 3rd single to go out that morning. That is just plain cool. Course was in great shape. Carts had a low tech GPS on them. Plays longer than card days due to terrain. I wish they had a logo ball though. I get one every course I go to.
Nice course
Course was in good shape when played in early spring. Surprised how fast greens were for the amount of rain recently and how well fairways were, no mud balls.
Great value!
Very nice, open course that is very forgiving to the occasional golfer. I typically go 4-6 times a month, so by no means do I consider myself a great golfer but this place doesn't make it as obvious. It was raining the night before so I will chalk it up to that, but a few spots had been so flooded I couldn't even tee off from the correct spot. Layout I thought was pretty good, but they could improve on marking the direction on 2 or 3 holes. It's so open your not sure what fairway is yours! In the end, I will go back and recommend it. Was a great value, nice place for first round of the season, even got the first of many birdies this season on the third hole!
INDIAN RUN
NICE FOR THIS TIME OF YR. NICE TO SEE FRESH CUT CUP , NOT LIKE NORTH PARK WHERE THE CUPS ARE NEVER CHANGED AND ALMOST SQUARE
Solid Country Course
Got a bonus round in Feb due to great weather. Course was in good shape considering there was snow on the ground a few days earlier. Simple layout but some interesting, quality holes. Pace of play was good, staff was friendly & value made it worth the drive. Good finishing stretch except for 18 which was converted into a disappointing Par 3.
Good Course Easily accessible
Good Course. Fairly easy. Not many bells and whistles, but leaves were off most of the course and greens were in decent condition for late December. A few holes where the fairway is above or below your feet. Not a hard course to get a tee time. I don't like #17 too much though. Straight uphill.
Average course with pretty nice greens
Played on golfnow for like 16 with a coupon code. Definitely worth it. The layout isn't too special, there are a few pretty unique holes thought that were pretty fun. The sand in the bunkers is a pretty good quality. The fairways, rough, and tee boxes were very average, but the greens rolled really true and had just the right firmness and speed. Drove 40 mins to play it, and I'd go back. I don't think they have a range, but I could be wrong. Clubhouse is very run of the mill. Hot dogs and beer, nothing special.
Pace of play killed the round
The course was in fair condition; however, the pace of play killed the round. The course is much easier since they changed 2 of the holes (specifically #18). The course was very dry but is to be expected in western PA in July.
great course
we rode 40 miles to golf this course. It was worth it. Also, there is gps on all the carts
Test your game
Good course management will give you plenty of opportunities for birdies. Bad course management and the smooth, fast and undulating greens will get you on the wrong side of par in a hurry. Visually pleasing views will help you focus on golf and put a smile on your face. GPS on screen yardages on the carts are included in your golf fee. Well maintained course with great grasses. No bare spots on this course, no matter what time of year it is. Indian Run GC is a pleasure to play, so if you want to try a different course this would be a great choice. Keep on teeing it up and have fun out there.
Staff was rude,ignorant,arrogant and dismissive
Booked a 10am tee time and was told immediately when at the counter that we could not play as they were booked thru 1230. The older man was actually physically threating towards us. They were very unprofessional and were not in the least bit empathetic, we had driven an hour to get there. We play quite a bit of golf and will never return. Drove down the road about 10 miles and played Village Green where they were very nice and courteous. They squeezed us in 20 minutes after we arrived and took our money graciously.
This course is always in great condition
Some of the best greens around. Some of the best golf holes in the area. Great views abound through out the entire course. Very nice staff and some of the best homemade food for the turn.
