Beautiful Greens
Challenging course with beautifully groomed greens.
Good course, easy to drive to
Very good course for the money. Greens were very well maintained and ran true.
Nice Course
Considering the course got 12 inches of rain in 3 days, you had to expect water. Nice course for seniors.
On the way.
Nice course on the way from western Pa. Timng was good and the course played well.
Excuses.
Yes it was a holiday, Memorial Day. I get that. But letting a 5-some out at 11am, to play a 'scramble'? The first nine took over 3 hours. Those 5 had the entire course waiting on them. They were playing their own balls; there was no scramble. Plus they were terrible. We complained to the shop and the guy told us 'well we don't have a starter'. And 'we're a low budget operation'. He went on to tell us how he had to stay late the other night to wash carts, so we shouldnt complain. Seriously? Will never, EVER, play there again. Low budget? How about no budget when nobody plays there anymore. What a joke. DO NOT PLAY HERE.
Fast difficult greens
The fairway graas was a little long. However the greens where muiltileved and fast. Fun to putt on.
Novice Course
It had been years since I played Blue Mountain. Let me say this is a nice course if you get a deal. Layout is easy and condition is not bad. With that said it tends to be a "hacker course".
The Pace of Play was ridiculous. I would advise a ranger during peak times. Also need to spend some time on the paths. Thought I was 4 wheeling most of the coarse. A bit more attention to mowing would help as well although I understand due to the amount of rain we have been receiving.
unimpressed
rock hard greens and tee boxes, gravel cart paths, flat greens in odd locations unprotected from other holes and greens
Worth the Money
Course was in good shape. Play was at a decent pace even though we had a group of 5 in front of us. They waved us through, but we declined since we were in no hurry.
Greens are challenging
Course in good shape. Friendly staff. The greens are all sloped. Very challenging. NEEDS MORE BALL WASHERS
Foursomes
When I arrived there were 5 foursomes waiting to tee off of senior golfers. The staff let me start on the back 9 to speed up my play.
Fast greens!
Slippery greens, nice layout and friendly staff. Great price and not crouded.
Nice chaallenging course
The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Nice course challenging and greens are sloped. Course is in great condition. You have to play your shots or lose them in the water.
Excellent greens
You can't beat it for the price. Blue Mountain is a course which requires good course management. With many elevation changes, blind tee shots and fast, but fair greens, are all part of what greets you at Blue Mountain. It's a gem with scenic views and a challenge for all who play it. Our group was made up of senior players and this course provides yardages which make it possible to score at any age.
my group want to play again
my 4some had a great time with putting on these difficult greens. a simple chip a few feet too far would put you off the other side of the green. fun watching others do that, after you warned them not to. we did encounter 4 groups on the same par 5 hole on the back 9, so play was slow for just the last several holes. there is always that one group.
Well kept course. Friendly staff but it was slightly overbooked at the hour we played. However all the participants were amicable. I would definitely recommend this course to any level of player.
