Golf is Golf

Wouldn’t play here again unless I really couldn’t find the opening to play else where.

Check in at the front room forever and when it was done I asked where the first tee was since I’d never been there before and I was told it was up at the top… Great instructions!

There was no starter so a group of 3 people who had already played the course before me (I was told this by the guy mowing the grass) had teed off in front of me when I was supposed to start. At least they moved fast…

Course was ok and for how much you pay it’s not bad. What really made no sense was the fact that there were barely any markings to tell you where to go after finishing each hole. Specific example- finding tee for #3 was a disaster and figuring out where the hole was located, was even worse.

At the end of the day, golf is golf… this is the cheap crappy course you play at a lot to get better when you’re starting out learning, or if you really just don’t care about how nice the course looks…

Good value. Great people.

I play here often because it's affordable and close to home. The course is small, but it has some challenging holes. The two greens with the steep slopes are particularly humbling.

During the season, it is very well kept. Sometimes, in late autumn/early winter, less so. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I wish they had some semblance of a pro shop - no balls, no shirts, no gloves, no tees, not a bottle of water. 🫤 Maybe they've tried it and it didn't work. I will assume they know what they're doing.

If you like playing golf and you don't have to impress your friends or clients with your ability to spend money, Abington Club is the place.

Overpriced

Tried to play a quick 9 this past week with a buddy. Had higher expectations for the price. With a cart it came to $40 per person for only 9 holes in the winter, one of which was under construction and practically unplayable. No pro shop, no cart paths, banged up tee boxes, bumpy greens. No distance markers on the course, or even at the tee boxes for reference. Plenty of other local courses that you can play 18 holes for the same price and have everything that this “club” is missing. Given the conditions and the price, I won’t be coming back.

Not worth it

Honestly it's just not worth it. My wife had an event nearby that she needed a ride to so I found the closest course that wasn't private (they're all private around here) and booked a tee time. It was pretty close to 1pm kickoff for Eagles/Commanders so I thought I'd sneak in a quick 9 and then sit at the bar until my wife was ready for pickup. I knew it would be a rushed 9, but I figured some golf is better than no golf, right? Wrong. This wasn't worth it at all. $40 (including cart) for far and away the very worst golf course I've ever experienced. I almost stopped when I got to the 3rd tee box and especially so when I got to the actual "hole" at #3. It's just such a joke. Heritage Creek is a 9 hole course closer to the Warminster area and I thought that wasn't a very nice 9 hole course. This makes Heritage Creek look like Tobacco Road. Unbelievably bad.

Never again

This is by far the worst place to play golf. One of the greens was a construction site. Literally dirt and rough with a flag. They should be ashamed of themselves charging $40 for 9 holes.

This is not a golf course

I booked online for $25 I get there with cart they tell $40. I paid and had to leave my car keys to get a cart key. I tee off to only realize it’s basically a par 3 course with the worst upkeep ever. I will never hold here again. Completely disgraceful course bad greens and free would have been overpaying. Very disappointed.

In rough shape

This course is in pretty rough shape. There is one hole that is incomplete and without a green, and there is also a hole where you are not allowed to use a driver.

BB Review

The tee boxes were very beat up. Fairways were not very good either. Greens were pretty good.
I only play this course because it’s cheap and nearby.
I don’t think the normal price of $25 is worth it.

Waste of money

Cart charge is way to expensive for a course in bad shape. Find somewhere else to go.

Abbington is a great place for beginners to go and get comfortable playing a course. It is inexpensive, short, and casual.
