Kimberton Golf Club
About
Kimberton Golf Club, which opened in 1962, has stood the test of time. Well known golf course designer George Fazio created a nice mix of holes about 45 minutes northwest of Philadelphia. The golf course isn't overly long and doesn't feature a lot of trouble, but it's long on fun. The signature par-4 third, a dogleg right around woods, is a pretty hole and worth the trip. Kimberton Golf Club is a just good old-fashioned, Philadelphia-style golf course.

First time play
I have never played here before but will definitely return. The staff was extremely accommodating and the course was in great shape. I got a great deal on Golf now and it was worth the 55 minute drive. The hot dogs in the club house were very good too!!
Fun
I played terribly but that wasn't the courses fault.
Everything's in great shape except a few under repair spots in the fw, but I wasn't hitting the fairway so who cares.
Pace of play of group ahead could have been better but not entirely the courses fault.
Golf carts are prehistoric.
A course worth playing
Great day
Staff was very friendly and courteous. Ed the starter was accommodating and made a bad day great by his flexibility and understanding. Course was a little wet but they let you go on the fairways at 90’. Appreciate it.
Interesting course
To start with the check in was very smooth, the gentleman at the counter was very accommodating and helpful.
Cart could use a little attention but overall, no major issues.
Course is reasonably maintained, a little standing water but that is understandable due to heavy rain earlier. Greens rolled true but traps were rain packed and could have used some TLC raking.
Played as a twosome behind a very slow foursome that should have let us play through. Oh well. Would play again.
Always an enjoyable day!
Love playing at Kimberton GC! Staff is friendly, course is in very good condition and pace of play was great even on a holiday weekend! The renovations of the bar area make the 19th hole even more enjoyable!
fun round
despite being crowded, had great time. course not wet at all.. pace of play as expected for a saturday. definitely will be back!
one of our favorite places to play
You can always find the course in good condition, especially for winter golf. greens are nice, no B.S. aeration and top dressing.
Solid course that won't beat you up
Even though the course was pretty wet the greens were rolling fast and true. never had to roll the ball to get a good lie. Played last week in south Jersey on a course that still had a lot of leaves on the ground but not here, could not find a leaf anywhere, course really clean. It's evident they care about this place and i'll be back soon
Hamburger Helper
I've nicknamed this course "Hamburger Helper." It's not your first choice, but will work in a pinch when all else fails. The fairways were in decent shape, but the greens were soaking wet after night of rain. No one came out to roll them, so we were literally splashing puddles on the Green. There's nothing flashy about the course, which really doesn't make or break a course. But it does give the appearance of a Podunk kind of golf course In the middle of the country.
Tougher than it looks.
Seems super straight forward. Wide fairways and a straight layout. On some holes, overhanging branches make for an unlikely trap. That’s not a rebuke but added to the challenge. Super fast and well kept greens made slightly sloped or flat greens much tougher than they first appear. It’s also quite beautiful. All in all had a great day and will definitely be back.
Fun golf experience
Nice 18 hole course presenting challenging holes and a pleasant experience with friends or family. Friendly staff and a good bar and grill in the clubhouse. Reasonable cost and a value for a round.
nuce coursein good condition
played two satirdays in a row... good pase... greens rolling trie... starter is such a sweet lady!
Favorite Course
I love kimbo, they keep it nice and everyone that works there is friendly... Micky and Marie are the best!!!
Good day
The course was a little soggy but manageable. Not many other players which allow a two and a half hour round. The staff was friendly and courteous. A bit cold but no wind. Enjoy my day.
Nice day, no rain!
Although a little chilly and overcast, it was a good day. Met some nice guys from Rivercrest golf club. For the middle of December the course was in good shape. The greens were not super fast but were in great shape and ran true. Some tee boxes were a little overused in some spots and could have the markers moved more often. Jim the pro was very accommodating and the newly renovated bar area is nice. The golf cart could have used a windshield to block the wind chill created when driving it. I would definitely play again.
