Landis Creek Golf Club
About
Just a short drive from King of Prussia, Landis Creek Golf Club (previously known as Limerick Golf Club) is situated right along the border of Chester County and Berks County. Opened in 1965, the course has a traditional layout that is player friendly enough for all skill levels. In 2012, the golf course changed ownership and also underwent a major renovation. The greens were reconditioned and the irrigation system improved, which has elevated the conditions of the course. The layout is a classic links design that is mostly open though there are a few mature trees that call for accuracy. Strategically placed bunkers provide challenges throughout but you won't find much water on this golf course, though there are two lakes that come into play occasionally. Landis Creek Golf Club has some tricky holes but overall it's gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

Landis Creek
2nd time playing there. Underwhelming layout. Bunkers need a lot of work. Decent greens and fairways. Tee boxes were hit or miss. Gravel cartpaths were bumpy. They need better signage to let you know where the next hole is located.
Great Value
First timer and I was pleasantly surprised. Greens were lightning fast making it difficult for a shorter course. I’d play it short all day or you’re in for some high scores on short par 4s.
Starter was great and accurate with his advice. We were behind a really slow 4some but other than that, it was a great deal for $30 and I will definitely play it again.
Nice piece of property but...
Gorgeous property that was in terrible shape. The course has literally no drainage system and was a muddy mess. Even worse was the trash all over at almost every hole. Beer cans overlooked almost every tee box. Looked like there was no maintenance crew at all. This could be a premier closures if a drainage system was added and maintenance crews actually did their jobs. Disappointing.
Good course. Greens were aerated but still in good shape. Some of the tee boxes could have been in better shape
Surprised
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. I found this course to be challenging and “getable” at the same time. Used my driver way too much and paid the price on some holes. Now if your precise with that stick, than you’ll be set up with good looks to the greens. Tee boxes we’re beat up, but you could find a spot on everyone that was ok enough to tee it. The fairways were in very good condition, first cut was distinct enough to leave some nice lies. The rough was trimmed down, so finding your errand shots were manageable. The greens were aerated and healing, so the putting was a bit bumpy. I can see the greens being real nice in a few weeks though. All in all, this course is worth the play. Easy to get to and worth the price.
Landis Creek
I was very disappointed that they were charging FULL price when the greens had just been freshly aerated and were horribly bumpy, as a result of it. We all know that aeration is a 'necessary evil" for every golf course but they really should discount the green fees when they do it.
The signage for directing you to the next hole really needs to be improved. And lastly, they need to have distance markers in the fairways. There were several holes that you could not easily discern where the fairways were laid out. Yardage markers/stakes would easily solve any confusion.
I stayed afterward and had dinner in their restaurant. Food and service were very good at very reasonable prices. ALL employees were extremely friendly; especially the Starter.
Conditions could be better
Overall the conditions of the course were lacking. The tee boxes have been neglected so it was hard to find a good spot to get an even stance and have grass to hit out of. Sub par tee boxes. The fairways were in decent shape, not great but not too bad. The cart paths were washed out in places and there was pooled water and mud on many of them. Better water management would help that situation. The greens were being aerated so they were bumpy as heck, but on top of that, they were not in great shape, as many ball marks weren't fixed and they weren't being kept clean at all.
Greens are great, fairways are crabgrass
If you manage to not hit off of the crabgrass fairways and unlucky enough to have your ball roll into the rough, you won’t find it. There’s no first cut only tall rough. Coarse layout is a little confusing but challenging. Don’t think I’ll be returning unless price is lowered or they fix the fairways.
Great value
Not just inexpensive. but greens nice good pace good people
Ok for the money
Course definitely could use some work. Greens weren’t great but may have been aerated recently so that didn’t help. Would try again.
