Carolina Club, The

I will always come back to this golf course. Everything about this course is great. Playing again today.

Staff is friendly and helpful and the course is always in good condition. This round was tough due to a lot of rain the previous 2 days but the greens were in great condition and rolled very true. Lots of soggy fairways but the super set the tees up to compensate for the wet conditions. I would recommend this course and we always try to play it when we come to the OBX on vacation.

Beautiful course, must play again. Staff friendly and helpful. Course has something for every level of player. Forgiving fairways, greens were quick, bunkers, water. Had rain the night before only 4 holes that were cart path only. Hole 7 par 3 island green what a hole. Feel this is a must play course for the first time or as a return trip.

Course was in nice shape and played well. Not used to paying that much for a round but when on vacation oh well. Not dissapointed at all but would not pat the fees on a regular basis.

Beautifully maintained course. Fairways and greens in excellent condition. Course layout was perfect for an intermediate player.

This course was a very pleasant surprise. Just off the highway and a short drive from the outer banks, the course was in great condition and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Pace of play was good and both the course layout and the surrounding residential area were very nice.

It's on my list of places to return.

Have played this course every time I'm at the Outer Banks. With 5 par 5s and 5 par 3s, the course has a bit of everything (forced carries, island green, sand, water). The fairways are generous, so the course is quite playable. The real challenge is club selection when judging the wind, and there is always wind. Today, the course was in great shape and the greens were perfect (firm and quick). Staff is always great.

Staff was friendly. Course condition good to excellent especially fast greens. If there on A Thursday try the Fried Chicken Special!!!

The staff was friendly, the course was Beautiful, a perfect day and I had to screw it up with my golf game! I played on a discount from Golfnow, and it was like $32 with their fees, and man....did it feel stress free on the course. I do wish however they had some tee maps of the holes, or something on the score card showing the hole layouts, I felt that was a bit cheesey as it cost me some major strokes feeling my way around for the first time, but again it is a beautiful course! I will be back!

Hotdeal was a good value for a quality course. Threat of bad weather seemed to keep others away and played in under 3 hours.

Always fun to play The Carolina Club. Great course. Really nice layout. Challenging but not unfair. Very nice and friendly staff.

Course was in great shape for early spring. Weather was sunny, dry and cool. Greens were fast but easy to read, fairways were dry and wide open with very little water hazards. The turn restaurant had quick food and drink to grab and go with friendly service. The starter was well informed and passed on a lot of knowledge about the course. A must play on your trip to OBX.

Great course, great staff, great rates. We come here every year during our week in Nags Head.

Loved playing this course. Greens were in great shape and the staff couldn't be friendlier. Only problem was a foursome in front of us that were very slow.

Best Golf Course I Have Ever Played!!!! A Must See!!!

Played the course in November with rain most of the round. Course still held up well and was in great condition. Found the course very interesting especially the 5 most difficult holes as rated on scorecard. Worth the drive from Nags Head where we were on vacation with family.

Fast greens plush fairways friendly staff well worth the hour drive from Hampton Roads.

Was on vacation and decided to play this course and glad I did. The course was in incredible conditions, greens rolled true and I'll definitely be playing it again. The drive is about 40 mins from Nags Head but well worth the drive. Several signature holes including a par 3 island green and #s 9 and 18 par 5s with a lot of water but very reachable in 2

Carolina Club is worth every penny!
Not especially hard, but can be enjoyably played by both beginners and advanced players.
From the friendly staff, to the starter's lengthy, but informative schtick, to the extremely well maintained course, this day was an absolute joy!
Notes from the starter's playbook:
Hole 6 is a brute. Forced carry, a couple bends, water down both sides (left water is in the tree line).
Hole 7, island green (no more needed to be said)
Hole 9, and I quote: 'probably the most interesting hole on The Banks', Par 5 needing perfect placement on every shot, reachable if you know what you're doing, .....I couldn't agree more.....
Hole 18, easy Par 5 if you play it correctly, but watch out for the fairway bunker left, and don't be left or right of the green as the traps can get ya, and for God's Sake don't be on the other side of them like I was (left, flop over to a downhill green....death...).
Sand, water, doglegs, and all the trimmings.
Go there !!!
