No greens
They are working on the greens now but when they are fixed this will be my favorite course
Very nice course
First time playing this course and it was very nice. The only down side were the conditions of the greens which players were made aware of. Did cost me a couple good putts. Will make a point to play here again.
Greens
Booked on GolfNow but found out after booking that greens have been destroyed by insects. Course website was honest with players but GolfNow did not make that information available. Did not have the option to cancel since it was a Hot Deal.
25 wasn’t worth it......
Not happy at all about this course. Even at 25 dollars I was ready to walk off after the 2nd hole.
Great layout. Greens and fairway were hard as rocks.
I’d throw a dart from 80yards out and land in the front of the green watch the ball jump 25 feet in the air and roll off the back of the green.
Greens sounded hollow and were dried and cracked up really bad. They should close down and do some serious repair
Staff was very friendly and had no issues with them.
Maybe next year
The tee box and greens were in deplorable conditions. It appears they do not have an irrigation system. Water could have saved this course.
Challenging and fun course. Could use some TLC
This was my first time playing this course so hopefully I’m not judging it unfairly. The lack of a practice range and the only practice green being under repair isn’t great and the “practice box” will have you dodging your own ball if you want to warm up before teeing off.
The holes vary a lot in length with some par 4’s easily driveable like the 1st and some par 3’s pushing 240 from the whites and some par 5’s being reachable in two mixed in with some nice dog leg holes..
Not a lot of tree or water hazards which was nice. You can definitely swing hard off the tees and not have to worry about a tree blocked shot being 5-10 yards off the fairway.
The greens were a total disaster. Despite a couple days of rain prior, they look like they haven’t see a drop of water all summer. Huge cracks and bald spots all over. The tee boxes weren’t much better and the sand traps were like almost dry cement.
In a little better condition, this would be a great little course to play but definitely could use some TLC for the cost.
First time...last time
This might be the worst course I’ve ever played. Horrible tee boxes. Greens were burnt and torn up with weeds growing all over them. Cheap to play but matches the course conditions.
Course is awful
Everything in terrible condition, greens are dry and hard as a rock, will never play here again.
Too much money for a course in extreme disrepair
$48 was about $20 too much. The staff and clubhouse were fine. Your first clue that the couse might be in poor condition was the practice green. Burn spots and the grass was cut to the length of most courses fairway. The first tee box was torn apart as were every tee box. Some you couldn’t even find grass in the tee area. The greens were ridiculously bouncy and long. The greens were so slow. Bunkers were horrible and partially overgrown on the edges.
The course layout is fine and the back nine is enjoyable layout wise. But the conditions of the greens were disgusting. Your putts bounced and hopped. I’m a very good putter and saw many putts bounce off target or stop short because of the green conditions.
Good backup course.
So to preface this review. We decided to play at pleasant valley last minute and we were the 6:20am tee time. The course was fun, very open and forgiving. It is a rather short course even playing from the tips. Many drivable holes.
Tee boxes were a little rough but nothing to be unexpected for the price of the course. Fairways were decent, lack of recent rain has hurt the course. Greens were okay, couple dead spots on each green but the staff did a good job not placing the hole any where near them. Ultimately taking them out of play.
No driving range which sucked and outdated club house. Course was packed when we were finishing so I expect very slow pace of play after 0800.
Great course if you main course is booked. The farm lands views were nice and enjoyable.
Great course. Be aware that several fairways slant downward causing rolling after ball lands.
Great course. Great scenery and location in farm territory of Pa. good fairways, not too much water or environment hazards.
Terrible conditions greens were all eaten up. Not worth your time or money. They let the course go to pot.
Perfect day for a great round!
Pace of play was perfect, tee boxes were really hard, fairways in great shape.
