Not worth my time or money!
Not worth the money at al, especially being a course that was once a country club!!!
UCC is great
I love this course! The layout is fun, yet sometimes challenging. You can definitely score on this course, but there are some tough holes with double bogeys lurking if not careful. The conditions were superb and it's got some of the best greens to putt on in Western Pa. On top of that, the staff is always super friendly and nice. I can't say enough about this course and try to play it as often as I can. GO PLAY IT!
Very nice course
Well maintained golf course in quite good shape after weeks of rain. An excellent outing and great value!
Good course
I am someone who always likes playing new courses, being from the Morgantown area this one was a no brainer. The course was a little wet still from being hammered from rain the weekend before but not in bad shape at all. Greens are nice and small, relatively speaking but all rolled very nicely. Mostly short holes but a few longer par 4s thrown in. Not sure why but the yardages on a couple holes on the back 9 were not even close, based on my GPS rangefinder. Quite a few blind shots and lost a couple balls that were not more than a few yards off of the fairway.
Perfect Greens.
Course was in great shape. Greens were perfect, and stole the round for only $10.00. Just wish we played better.
Beautiful Layout
A great golf layout with the Fall leaves changing their colors and the backdrop of the mountains make this a spectacular GC. The greens are wickedly fast and make up for the course yardage. You'll definitely have a great time with this GC.
Course
Greens were in excellent condition, course is a little short but in very good shape
Mountain Goat back nine
Challenging course. Front nine moderately hilly, but the back nine was what I call Mountain Goat. Anyone walking will get an extreme workout. Anyone who walks it regularly will have great legs and be ready for marathons. Very enjoyable course!
fast greens
Fast and true greens. Challenging but fun. The staff is great and the 19th holes is a great atmosphere
nice scenery
The course itself is very well maintained and the view of the nearby mountains is very unique and nice.
Vintage Course with Small Greens
Played the course twice in the past couple of weeks. It's a nicely designed old course that can challenge your short game with not much green to work with. It is not a long course. The greens have nice slope and undulation to give a fair test. They are not lightning fast.
Interesting course
The place as a whole was not bad. a couple of the greens were impossible. The slope and the pin placement on a few of the greens were impossible to two putt. Other then that, the course was nice. Note: most of the bunkers were hard pan. For being a country club this was amazing????
great day in the sun
Course layout is very nice. Two of my playing partners had not played here before. Both said a second time would be better as there are some things one should know about some of the holes. Pay attention to the course layout. Staff from person in pro shop to the man watering the plants to the waiter, were very friendly and accommodating.
Very Nice Traditional Parkland Course
It is an Emil Loeffler designed course. Not extreme in length, reasonably sized relatively flat greens with subtle breaks that putted beautifully. Not as hilly as one would think being so close to the SW PA mountains. In reasonable shape considering the lack of rain for the last 2 months. There were a few bare spots in the fairways and rough. They have a brand new fleet of golf carts with USB ports to keep your range finder charged. The sprinkler heads were marked as well as the standard 200 150 and 100 markers that were accurate. They have an adequate driving range to warm up before your round or practice. I didn't see a practice bunker. There is a small putting green and the speed was the same as the course greens. With a bit of TLC the practice facilities and course would be excellent.
Course condition
Considering our lack of rain course pretty good condition staff friendly
Nice Greens
Several interesting holes, nice greens, lots of sand traps well kept, and overall in good shape. Only drawback was a couple of fairways experiencing drought exhaustion not golf course fault sure it will bounce back with a little rain.
Would play again was a good value.
Poorly Maintained, Don't consider if you live more than 15 minutes away
I arrived at 7:30 am for a 8:00 am tee time. The pro shop wasn't open until 7:50. The course was burnt out and poorly maintained.
Good golfing
The greens were nice, bunkers could use more sand. Some fairways slope drastically and if unfamiliar with cost you strokes.
Need a 'How to play each hole' sheet.
Mediocre experience
Greens are tiny, course is very tight and layout is confusing. Fairways were in rough shape but greens are in good shape. Bunkers are more gravel than sand. Pretty views of mountains around course but course itself is not very interesting. Not worth a special trip.
Very nice
I had a great time, the course was very challenging.
