Great course - top 5 for Columbia
I’ve played most courses in the midlands and SVCC is definitely in my top 5 within a 50 mile radius.
Great design that offers a fair challenge. Demanding tee shots but large, receptive greens. Deep bunkers but fair bail out areas. Not many hazards but the tree lined fairways act like the lights on a run way (stay in between them, or else it’s not going to be pretty). Great closing 3 holes (really 4 holes…) on the back night coming into the club house that can make or break a round.
Facilities are good and the staff is great. Laid back atmosphere, but still has the “club” vibe.

Magnificent private club
60 year design remains fresh and golfer friendly. Wide fairways and large greens. One of the better courses in the Columbia area.
