No fairways, but gorgeous greens

Pros:
. Beautiful greens - fast, smooth, played true, minimal divots
. Open Space
. Great scenery
. Price

Cons:
. No fairways - all rough
. Busted cartpaths
. No variety in hole-types
. Poor customer service

Overall - Fair experience. It was decent at best, for the price. If I didn't get a hot deal from GN, I would have been upset. Perhaps a good course if you live in the apartments next door. There weren't any fairways at all, yet the greens were magnificent. It seems as though some farmer just through some greens and tee boxes in an old cow pasture. I'd play again if it were free.

August Heat

The course has handled the heat. Grass in the fairways and most of the greens are in good shape.
Greens putted very slow.

Nice day of golf

This was my first time @ Hunter's Point. The layout was pretty open so I didn't lose many balls :-) and the course was well-kept. We'll go back.

You Get What You Pay For

This was the first time playing this course. . If you are looking for a warm up, back and forth course this is it. Due to the wet weather over the last few weeks the course had greened up and greens were in decent shape. Fairways were in fair shape, rough was short but wirey. Back nine definitely longer than the front nine.. Cart paths are gravel or lack there of. Would I play here again? Maybe .... but will look for other courses first. However for the price it is what it is... a good warm up course because you get what you pay for.....

Fun for the price

This was the first time I played at this course. The greens were in great shape, but the fairways were a little long and it was hard to tell where the fairway was vs the rough. I know it was a rough winter. Most of the Bermuda Grass golf courses around Nashville are struggling with this because of the harsh winter we had. The holes are wide open and it's easy to find your ball with a shanked shot (except for the tall grass). I would like to try this course again in a few months.

Has potential

The course seems to have some potential but it would take a lot of work. I personally liked the hole design, however the course was in pretty rough shape all around. The cart path is gravel and dirt in some places. The greens were in rough shape, a couple were really rough. The driving range is irons only, and a small bag of range balls only had about 18. I may go back but it would have to be a really good deal. I would love to go back and fish the ponds.

P.S. If you are getting a ball out of the water be careful the are a ton of big snapping turtles.

A Tale of Two Nines

The front nine at Hunters Point is relatively short, with several par-4 holes that are driver - wedge (or less). The back nine is another story -- holes 10 and 14 are par fours that are 450+ yards from the blue tees, and hole #17 is a 425 yard par-4. Hole #18 is a 590-yard par-5, with a large pond guarding the front of the green. #18 is Hunters Point's signature hole -- imagine playing this hole back in the 1970's with persimmon woods.
I played this course in mid-March when the grass was dormant, so it was not in very good shape. Will play it again in the summer when things "green up".

Playable course for the price

I've played this course many times and am happy to see them on GolfNow finally. We had a noon tee time and got paired with a couple other GN guys. The course was packed...one of the first warm days of 2014 so everyone was out.

It's been a harsh winter, so the grass everywhere is of course struggling. It had rained a few days before so everything was really wet. The greens were spongy but mostly smooth.

Great course for the money. But those wanting a traditional full experience need to lower their expectations. There are no sand traps. The cart paths are gravel. And the course is set in a rectangle piece of a property.

But the atmosphere is laid back and the greens are decent.

-good times guy
