Not what you want from a golf course
There were no fairways. The course did not have a golf layout. Tee boxes and greens seemed to be placed randomly. What was considered the fairway was in bad shape. The greens did roll true but did not feel like golf greens. Grass was tall and thick which made putts extremely slow. I wouldnt even say this is a good course for beginners because there is no golf feel at this course. Not a good place to introduce someone to the game.
Not bad for beginners
I’m a beginner and I really had fun playing this course. Everyone there was friendly, even when I got lost playing the 6th hole. The grass varies and the ground was super dry making it hard to drive tees. Golf carts were in good shape and they took the time to clean them after each player. I would visit again.
Riverside
I visited Memphis and looked up this course on golf now ... Please be warned that if you are a golfer and enjoy golfing do not come here! Terrible fairways and terrible greens ... Honestly don't know how they call this a golf course ... There was a group in front of me of six players! And one of them was playing without a shirt and had a boom box playing heavy metal! Never again played six holes and left.
Not bad for a muni course.
I had a 7am tee time to play the 9-hole course twice for 18 holes. I had not played this course in 20 years since I was in college so I was interested in seeing what kind of shape it was in. The course is in good shape for a muni course. No sand or water. I saw quite a few junior golfers playing with their parents which was good to see. The pace was a little slow at times but didn't bother me since I was walking with a pull cart for the exercise. I did not rate the food & beverage since I didn't purchase anything.
