Tee boxes a little worn if you play the forward tee boxes. No sand in traps. A lot of rain this past month.
Fine conditions, impure greens
Simple layout but the changes in elevation make the course still interesting. The fairways were in fine shape. The greens looked ok visibly but didn't roll very pure, even for (basically) a public course. It’s worth it if you get a deal but no way for full price.
Exceeds Expectations!!
I went as a single to test out the course for my group I usually play with.
I have to say that for 40 dollars you will NOT find a better course. The greens and fairways were extremely well kept and lush.
Having range balls included was such a nice perk as well. The pro shop staff was extremely helpful.
If it’s your first time playing it might be a little confusing to navigate to the starter tee as they rotate between 3 different courses but 10/10 value. Top 3 favorite local course in a 25 mile radius.
Great golf
Very nice golf, greens are in very good condition. Definitely will come back.
No Water
I was very surprised to see there was no water on the course. Thank goodness it’s winter because heat stroke in summer. But I guess if you know ahead you might be able to bring a cooler with you.
And one of the 9 had no maintenance. There was so many leaves on fairway you couldn’t find you ball. Tho other 9 course was maintained.
My dear friend regularly plays here
My dear friend regularly plays at Atascocita. And since they have free practice balls I seem to be getting to enjoy playing here more and more.
The staff here are all super professional and friendly at the same time.
Much more than expected
Grass was very green, not a lot of brown areas
Just don't hit the ball in the rough because it will be a lot of lost balls
Range and range balls in really good shape. Greens rolling well / true given end of summer conditions (e.g. there're in great shape). Felt like I was the only one on the course given my late morning tee time.
Special (+) note; Greenskeepers have let the rough grow up slightly around many selected greens. This has added a positive twist to the mundane 'up and down' shot and it seems to hold tee or approach shots just off the green.
Nice touch.
Not worth it at all
Course was in terrible shape. Poorly manicured tee boxes and fairways. Debris EVERYWHERE even when no storm recently. Pace of play was very slow. No where near the $65 cost to play
Wow!
For only an easy $70 per player this sensational golf course takes you on an incredible time traveling journey to 2005, a perfect replica course of hurricane Katrina.. Imagine you and your golf buddies teeing your brand new sleeves of Titleist ProV1s off into the remains of a disaster zone. Great shot? Down the fairway? Drop one, maybe two more. You won’t be finding them. This course is built and maintained to challenge the strongest and most capable of competitors. With beers ranging from coors to coors light. This course has it all. With Unlimited amenities! A sand bunker rake for sand and one for branches and debris! If you’re sick and tired of playing the easy ones. This one is for you!
Another pleasant experience
Love this course. Even with the extreme heat in Houston these days the course is in great shape. Greens are impecable condition. Most fairways are in great shape too, just few dry spots here and there. Don’t know how they manage to have it like that. Will come back soon!
