Prince George Golf Course
About
Prince George Golf Club in Disputanta boasts some of the best golf in the Tri-Cities area. The course is player friendly enough for beginners at a manageable 6,640 yards from the back tees, but the many water hazards and strategically placed sand traps that you'll encounter make it enough of a challenge to appeal to more advanced players. The long fairways demand accuracy but it's not an overly punishing layout off of the tees. It's a golf course that is as scenic as it is challenging with each hole offering a different setting. In addition to the golf course, Prince George has one of the most extensive practice facilities in the area, featuring chipping and putting areas where you can work on your short game and a driving range.

good value
Course is fairly easy course, but has some challenging holes, Greens are great, but fairways are rough
good course for the price.
Course area had lots of rain prior to my play.
Course drained very well, no standing water . Maintence was cutting greens and fairways during my round. Only bad thing i noticed was sand trap rakes were decrepid needing replacements badly. Overall good day of golf.
Needs major sand trap work/overall maintenance
Lay out nice , needs major maintenance all the way around .has potential to be a competitive course
This course is a very relaxing course to play, open and airy, in good shape, and a very good buy for your money.
My wife and I enjoyed our round. Nice open country "at ease" atmosphere, some challenging holes, plenty to hit your ball off of in the rough and fairways, and the greens were okay. Very relaxing. A very good value for your money .
Just not the course for me!
Read the reviews but had to see for myself. Not sure where to begin? Mow'n field, practice range with greens, it is hard to describe. Not a bad layout, back is tougher than the front, some water. Greens had not been airiated sp? this spring and showed it. Couldn't really tell where the fairway's ended and the rough began. Tee boxes were a mixed bag, but mostly not good. Yardage markers were scarce and the ones at 150 didn't seem to be accurate to the centers. Overall probably not a return visit from me, isn't in shape now and doesn't look like its headed in a good direction anytime soon. A lot of blue jeans and t-shirts crowd.
Great Value for the Money
Of course everything is greening up. The Staff have been putting in time with the Maintenance around the course, but still needs a little attention. Great course for the value.
seems too early to have fairway green
bunkers and fairways need to be maintained.
could see just a few players in course, this good for us
Value Golf
Played on a Wednesday around 11:00 am, fell into a perfect slot. Nobody in front and nobody behind, so i was able to work on my game a bit. There were actually employee's out working on maintaining the course this time out..... I was impressed! Look; if your looking for a course to work on your game at a value price this is the place for you. If you are looking for pristine tee boxes and lush fairways you need to look elsewhere. The staff is freindly and the rates can be exceptional if you catch the right deal.
Good for the price
This course is great for the price I paid. Im just learning so it was a nice course for someone who isnt really accurate, miss hits can be recovered fairly easily. Fairways are open and greens were pretty nice. I will return.
Golfing Value
I am amazed at some of the negative reviews I have read for this course. Though the fairways are often sparse and generally a bit hard (no irrigation), the layout is fun and forgiving, the greens are always in good shape and very "puttable," and the price is excellent. Add the staff's freindliness and you have a great place to golf! If you are a high-handicapper, new golfer, or just a weekend golfer looking for a fair course for an exceptional price, try Prince George. If you're looking for pristine fairways and perfect bunkers, open your wallet an try elsewhere.
Old Course with lots of character
Played this course after heavy rain the day before so that sways my rating of only 3 stars. Greens in good shape, staff and patrons very friendly. Enjoyable round, traps around green keep you on your toes.
I will play this course again.
Bargain Price for any golf fan!
In visiting Prince George recently, I found the $9 price tag found on GolfNow.com, too much of a bargain to pass up. Having had some issues with my own game personally, I thought this would be a good idea to go out on the course and work out a few kinks, and not worry about breaking the bank at some of the more expensive local courses I have become accustomed to playing.
The course itself was quite pleasant to play, offering parallel holes/fairways for easy playability and short rough, for an enjoyable outing. though the course is short (mid 6000's from the tips) the holes offer slight elevation changes and a couple challenges in which you will have to manage.
The tee boxes themselves were fairly bare, and the fairways offered patches of green here and there, otherwise dormant and sparse. The greens however, were rolled fairly true, with little to no attention needed. As any good golfer would wish for, the putting surface can make or break a round, and the greens here were up to par with any of the higher end courses you might play in the surrounding area.
Overall, a great outing for some relation and enjoyment.
Don't go looking for a real test of skills, but definitely something to enjoy with family or friends!
Old Style, not in great shape
Seats were wet on all of the carts, course not in very good shape, even after considering the season. Was definitely a 25 dollar play. Staff friendly but some simple services could improve things, like attentiveness to golf carts and people arriving.
Cart paths need some work, but I really enjoyed the layout and the greens were in great shape for wintertime play!
Second time here...enjoy the course and value...liked that they had raked all of the trips despite it being January
A typical country course.
Course was in good condition considering the time of year played. Not having cart paths has a tendancy to keep the fairways packed down. Not good for the grass, but good for the roll out.
Nice place for the money.
The cost was the best part of the deal. The course for this time of year was in good shape and the greens putted fairly well. I played with a beginner and we liked playing without alot of players around. For this time of year it was well worth the money and we both enjoyed the experience.
Poor Poor Poor
Greens horrible, fairways shoddy and bunkers were more like concrete slabs then sand. No money being put into this course.
Great course for beginners and cheap!!
I recently started playing at PG again. After not playing there in 3 years I was pleasantly surprised to see that improvements had been made. New carts, greens in good shape and an overall friendly atmosphere and nice staff. With the deals I've been getting through golfnow I'm playing more than ever and having a blast. Give PGGC a try it's fun and easy on the wallet.
Friendly staff, great greens
Played this course a few times recently. The greens are in excellent shape. Open course on the front nine, I ended up in some other fairways off the tee. Nice variety of holes.
Staff was super friendly and encouraging to my son who is new to the game.
