Goose Creek Golf Club in Leesburg, Virginia offers a challenging layout that will have you using every club in your bag. The layout has small greens that are difficult to read and narrow, winding fairways lined with thick rough. There are also strategically placed bunkers framing the greens. With numerous uphill, downhill, and blind tee shots, accuracy is essential to scoring well on this golf course. Several holes on the back nine run alongside Goose Creek, providing some of the best scenery on the course. The creek and a few ponds provide water hazards on some of the holes. The course is a formidable test but diverse enough to appeal to both low and high handicappers but the affordable rates are what make Goose Creek G.C. especially appealing.

Good and Decent Course
Goose Creek is a good course and averagely maintained.
Goose Creek can be wonderful but the course was overcrowded on this day.
The management needs to control the number of players and the pace of play.
Always a pleasure!
This is not the longest or toughest course in the area, but it may be one of the prettiest and most relaxing to play. The course is well maintained (I played only 10 days after hurricane Sandy & it was still great) and managed. It's off season now & I played an early afternoon tee time. I was able to play as fast as I can because there was no delay caused by overbooking or crowding as with some courses. The course has sufficient elevation changes, water hazards, ditches and sand traps to make it challenging but not intimidating. All in all, simply a great place to have a lovely afternoon round!
Solid Course Overall
There are some very nice courses in the Leesburg area, but getting a tee time at one of them might cost you quite a bit. There are also one or two budget courses but they aren't very nice to play. Goose Creek fits right in between.
There's nothing spectacular about the course; the length is average, the variety of holes is average, the landscaping and green speed are average, the pace of play is average, and the price is average. This is one of those courses where the company with you or the score you post makes the round more memorable than the course itself, and that's ok, since you aren't charged an arm and a leg for your time there.
Good Condition
This course is in good condition and challenging but it is not well run- Nice people in the pro shop but no starter and no ranger- T shirts and jean shorts on players- A five hour round on a THU AM? Players backed up for 6-7 holes,
Worth Playing
Its a nice course that during the week plays no more then four hours but on weekends I have had five and a half hour rounds so you have to plan on that. The par threes are pretty challenging and some of the holes run parallel so you have "incoming" from other players.
Overall its a very good course for the money!!!
Good Deal
Greta course as far as variance in holes dog leg lefts/rights, blind tee shots, short/long par 3's. Enjoyable cours.
This is a great value for the level of course.
Excellent course for the middle of the road golfer. Challenging without being impossible to score. Great features and some unique holes. Staff is phenomenal. Not big on alot of amenities but that keeps the price reasonable. Pro Shop and staff and great.
Nice course, greens need some work
Played Goose numerous times, Just the worse I have seen the greens, otherwise a great course.
Very Short and Average Course
I enjoyed Goose Creek a lot and would happily recommend it to anyone looking to play in the area. It is very short, and on the back 9, some of the holes are so close together that they present a safety hazard depending on how many groups are back there.
Love Goose
I love playing at Goose Creek. One of my favorite courses in the area. I live about 15 minutes away and play there often. The course is nice and always a new challenge for me. It's wide open. Go for the greens. Go for the birdies.
good local track
Goose Creek has been around for years and has had some big name talent cross it's fairways over the years. Always in good shape and a plus to the golfing establishment in No. VA.
Tight and outdated. Bring your helmet!
Tight and outdated. Balls flying at you from the tightly stacked course layout. The cart(s) in your fairway is as likely to be one from another fairway!
Only two holes are affected by the deafening machinery and roaring gravel trucks that will greet you at the tough #6 par 4 and the green on #5. Bring your sign language skills.
Don't play this course Fri-Sunday unless you bring lunch and dinner with you.
