Great 9-hole course for the money
This is a nice 9 hole course. More than drive and pitch for average golfers off tee. Also has par 3 course for short game. Staff always friendly
Rude Management
Course in fair shape for a public course. Management explained that GolfNow patrons have a 20 minute T-Time window and we would just have to wait. My T-Time was 12:00, we got there at 11:30 and Teed off at 12:45. This is unacceptable. We did not get to finish due to darkness.
I've played this course before and it's a good place to kill time but I've never been treated like that before.
VERY DISAPPOINTED
Nice layout for a public course
Pace of play was much better this time, played here before with some problems. Like the layout, some short but
deceptive holes, pretty rolling hills in places.
This is a very good course.
This course is a challenge for older people. The greens and the fairways are in good shape, the bunkers are excellent. The tee boxes are very good.
Home Course
This is a great course for all levels. The 13th hole is the most difficult hole but birdies loom for the player that can get from tee to green in 2. Because course is always maintained with good greens, your short stick must be accurate.
Have Fun-Go Play!!!
This is a nice course to play.
This course is especially enjoyable when played from the back tees(Gold on this course). The Greens were in great shape considering the amount of play this course gets daily.
Great deal, nice staff
This was my first time playing at Glenwood and was very happy with my overall experience. I will return to play here again.
With the exception of the 13th hole the course is all out in front of you. Like many other public courses in Virginia this course needs sand in the bu
This is a very playable municipal course. No frills though.
Improved conditions
Had read earlier reviews and expected high rough and poor conditions. Found the course in fairly good shape although a few greens need some attention and #2 is a temp green and real green looks terrible. Most of the other greens putted okay. Rough was not too high and fairways were generally very good.
This course needs serious up keep
The 2nd hole was located in the fairway, a lot of the fairways were in need of trimming, drainage was horrible when we played it hadnt rained in a week and was like there was a hurricane the night before
Great price, not very good condition.
Outstanding golf course for beginners, wide open fairways and only one or two tough holes. Greens were in pretty bad shape on some holes, great on others. One was completely under repair, so the hole was cut from fairway lying before it. Pretty terrible to putt on but my goal for playing was to get better and it's a good course for that.
Be carefull of the guy that runs it. He doesn't like golf now customers
I booked a hot deal on a rainy Monday for 1 . The price included cart. The place was dead. When I arrived the guy told me that I had to play with another partner who I didn't even know. He stated that I could go out alone if I paid a additional cart fee.He also stated that he can't make any money on the golf now deals. I paid to be able to play alone were I could take my time and have the round to myself. Not be forced to play with a complete stranger. He could have honored the hot deal from golf now but seemed bitter that I got such a good rate for the round. He should be taken off golf now if he won't live up to the deals they offer. He totally killed the excitement of playing there.
Play in any type of weather
Very limited paved cart paths... Allow you to play in any type of conditions as long as you try to keep in rough when course fairways are extremely wet...Great "go-to" course when everybody else is closed...
Good place to start
I have played this course many times in the last 15 years. I like it. very forgiving since it is wide open. Fairways are side by side so if you push one pretty bad you can still find it and play it. the club house needs some major upgrades
Very odd course, greens in rough shape.
Love that Golf Now has added courses in our area, but I do not think I would ever play this again.
Nice wide open course but could use a little maintenance on the greens.
Great course especially for a beginner like me. Some greens could use a little more maintenance but overall great value for the price.
great course for the money
The course was in great shape, the staff was friendly and helpful and pace of play for a holiday weekend was great. I would recommend this course to anybody looking for a good round at a reasonable price.
Great Value, Fast Play
Although the fairways/greens could use a little work, this is the best value course in Richmond. Also, when playing on a weekday, it is usually pretty empty so can easily play 18 under 3 hours. Can play for around $10 if wait last minute on a weekday.
Played in the rain so course was pretty wet which made it more difficult than usual.
Having played this course before we decided to go ahead and play although the weather called for rain. The course still played reasonably well although the rain hindered ball movement both in the fairways and on the greens. Still enjoyed playing.
great for the money
i like glenwood, its a great value and the course is in good condition.
Umm…. I believe your review is in reference to the Lakes Course at Windy Hill Sports Complex, not Glenwood Golf Club.
