Hobbs Hole Golf Course

I am so happy to tell you how wonderful this golf course is! I play at this golf course often because it is absolutely the best golf course in the state of Virginia! They take care of this course and it’s immaculate! I feel like I’m hitting off of carpet when I’m in the fairway not to mention how nice the greens are! Many thanks to Troy Thorne, the amazing golf pro and his entire staff for doing such an amazing job with this course and the great service they always provide to their guests! I also wanted to complement Nancy in the restaurant the food there was awesome and her service was great as always! All of these wonderful things have made this my favorite course that I’ve ever played at!

I had the wonderful opportunity, once again playing at this beautiful golf course! It’s understandable why they are rated so one of the best courses in VA! This course is immaculate! I honestly felt like I was playing on carpet in the fairway and the greens were the best I’ve ever played on! This course is definitely my favorite! I highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a great course to play! Troy is an expert when it comes to golf, so if you’re needing lessons or a few tips too improve your game, Troy is your answer! Well stocked pro shop, reasonable greens fees. Greens were excellent undulating, large and putted true. Fairways not so good, ,light rough. overall a pleasant layout and a pleasant experience.

I look forward to going to Hobbs to play for the golf course and the restaurant. I called about the restaurant to see if it was closing at 4pm or if they were extending hours on Monday. They said they were closing early. They were not open when we arrived and tried to use before the round at 1pm. The clubhouse front door was locked when we finished the round just after 5 and couldn't even use the restroom. the course was ok, bunkers need some serious work and were hard as a rock. Clumpy grass around the greens and in the fringe. I look forward to the next time and hope it is back to its high standard.

Course layout was fun, but fairways and rough was dry. Greens were in good shape and rolled nicely. Sand in traps on back nine was hard and needs a bit more sand in them. Overall i like the course and will play again in the future

This is just an all around fantastic course. Never been disappointed from time of arrival to leaving.

I just had another wonderful golf outing at Hobbs Hole! This is honestly the best course in Virginia! The staff here is amazing and the golf pro Troy gives the best lessons ever; so if you ever need help with your game he’s the person to go to! The golf course is always in immaculate condition even in the winter! The greens are perfect and honestly every time my brother and I visit this course we have the most wonderful golf outing ever! If you’ve never played here you really need to and be sure and connect with Troy, the golf pro because he is honestly the best ever! We love the restaurant too....the food is really good there and the staff is amazing as well! Thanks again to Troy and his team.... Calvin and Jef they are also wonderful! and I cannot forget the fully stocked golf pro shop…… They have everything you need! Thank you Hobbs Hole.....I drive an hour and a half away to play at your golf course and it’s worth every minute of it! Thanks again for being so amazing!

Course was in excellent condition even though it had rained yesterday. Will definitely be back again soon!

I was asked to again review this course for a second time for some reason. I frequently golf at Hobbs Hole. It is a somewhat challenging but extremely fun course to play. The personnel in the pro shop treat you like family and always make you feel welcome. Taking into consideration the foul weather which preceeded our round the golf course was in much better playing condition that I first thought it would be upon booking a t time. I have never been disappointed in the speed of their well maintained greens.

You do not realize how good it makes you feel when the pro knows you by first name and not"sir". That means a lot to me. I have golfed here numerous time and have always enjoyed each and every round of golf. The greens were in pristeen condition and with regards to the recent heavy rains and snow the fairways were relatively dry. If Hobbs Hole was just a bit closer I would golf there the majority of the time.

Played with three friends today- one of whom did not buy the hot deal. Turns out he paid less than the rest of us. Call the clubhouse for winter rates before buying through GolfNow.

Great course. Very well maintained. Perfect greens.

Despite winter weather and some snow yesterday, course was in good shape and greens rolled well.

The best golf course in Virginia by far!!
My brother and I play at this golf course anytime we have an opportunity and I must say it is the best golf course in Virginia! The staff which is Troy the golf pro and Jeff and Calvin and everyone else that works at this golf course is amazing! Not to mention how immaculate and beautiful the golf course is! The greens are super nice and the fairway is in tiptop condition always even in the winter! I highly recommend you playing at this golf course if you haven’t as of yet! Green was very fast. Overall condition good. Not challenging for us.
