Lake Land Village Golf Course - Generation I & II Course
About
LakeLand Village in Allyn, Wash. offers a 27-hole layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's a PGA-caliber golf course that is player friendly but still has plenty of challenges in store. The golf course is divided into three nine-hole layouts that are played in 18-hole combinations. The nines are referred to as Generation I, II, and III. Gen I and Gen II are the shorter of the three layouts and have a classic design. The undulating greens are known for being some of the best in the state, offering smooth surfaces that putt fast and true. In addition to keen short-game skills, accuracy is key on this golf course since several of the fairways are fairly narrow and there are out-of-bounds and water hazards throughout.

Fun time
I had a very good experience. Met three really good guys and Had a very enjoyable round of golf.
My favorite course
I live in Tacoma and have played all the on the peninsula, in town, and many others. I now play Lakeland at least once a week and twice is not uncommon. My drive to Lakeland is 45-50 minutes and I don;t care. The greens are sweet, fast, challenging, I'd pit the overall against anywhere, Olympic, Oakbrook, McCormick. They are right. The layout of Gen 3 and 2 challenge you every hole. 5 and 6 on Gen 3 are short but frustrating . We call it the gauntlet. The guys at the desk are great and the girls are beautiful. Good beer, burgers and dogs. The course is the most peaceful I've ever played. I'm 60 years old and a 10 handicap. See you there. It's not Pebble but I love it.
I brought a couple others who had not golfed here...
We tee doff at about 3:30 so we were pretty much alone... cloudy day but no rain. We played pretty poorly, but not because of the course. They ere clear that they want to come back.
We got our moneys worth!
I invited a couple friend to play here. They had not played here prior to this. We have played together many time and generally score in the 90's, but all shot about 105. We had a very good time, but our games were not on and the course seemed long...the other thought it seems like there were several par 5's....more than normal.. The weather was a bit threatening, but it did not rain and was not hot so a very nice afternoon about 65 degrees. Both guys said they want to come back and I sure will play here again as we have a beach house in Allyn.
First time at Lakeland
My first time playing here and was impressed with the course. Early tee time and was done in under three hours. Will play here again soon.
beautiful hidden course
A friend told the course was in great condition, he was right. Narrow course with lots of turns and elevation changes. 27 holes, nice people, would have given a higher rating if they had a better practice area. iron only range that drops into a gully, no chipping area that I could find.
In good shape, BUT THEY NEED A MARSHALL
Showed up and there were no carts available, bummer. 9 bucks for a terrible push cart, sad. Group in front of me were 4 total hacks. There ball traveled left and right all over the place with frequent search parties for lost balls.
would not let us pass all day 3 hour front 9. I asked the cart girl if they were all drunk and she reported that one guy was well on his way. they all disappeared around the 13th and my day was saved!! 5 1/2 hour 18. Course is in good shape, greens 8.5/10
Excellent value
We walked 9 holes and the course is in fabulous shape. Folks at the clubhouse were great to work with as well. Highly recommend.
Lots of challenges
This course will give you all you can handle including birdie opportunities. Some elevation and some straight away fairways that will test your accuracy.
Very nice course
First time at this course and first time out golfing since Mar 10th due to Covid. Golfed Gen III and II, both are well designed and the course in general has a lot of character. Greens are quick but true to breaks. Some balls rolled off if not hit on front of green or front fringe.
Great conditions
Gorgeous day and the course was in great shape. GUR are clearly marked and the greens were in excellent condition.
Enjoyed my round
Course layout is challenging. Almost every hole has elevation change. Putting greens were in excellent shape. Worth the drive from Tacoma.
Great spring golf
course is in great shape best I’ve seen in a while. Greens are smooth.
Please put more trash bins on the course!!
Course is a gem
Course was in great shape and the greens were pure. Only drawback for me was that some of the walks between holes were a little long, but not a big deal. Maybe not the best course for someone crooked off the tee.
