The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie - The Links
About
The Golf Club at Hawk's Prairie offers two 18-hole courses, the Links and the Woodlands. Located just a few miles north of Olympia in Lacey, Washington, the club is one of the best golf values in the South Sound. The Links Course joined the original 18 holes in 1999, providing a stark contrast to the aptly named Woodlands Course. The classic Scottish-links design features open fairways and undulating greens. The layout sprawls north towards the mouth of the Puget Sound. There are some rolling hills but the course is still a nice walk, especially with the views of Mount Rainier along the way. You'll encounter numerous bunkers strategically placed throughout and water hazards come into play on half of the holes. It's a challenging but fair golf course with five sets of tees making it playable for all skill levels.

Nice Course
Nice course to golf. Challenging, some long par 4's as well as 5's. May be a little much for beginners but definitely great for intermediate golfers.
Nice course
Course is in good shape. Greens we’re all well groomed and fast. Nice day so there were a lot of people playing and pace was a little slow as a result.
Greens in great shape
The greens were unbelievably good and make it well worth the drive. A few fairways had standing water but considering the time of year, overall the course was in good shape.
Course is good condition, staffs are kind .
Enjoyed
Great October Day
Everything but the pace of play was good, saw the marshall just once at the start of the round and never again. Consistently two groups sometimes 3 on the tee box, never did find out why or who was holding up the show. Great course, play there several times a year and not usually like this. Will be back.
Links in very good shape
Got a great 'hot deal' from golf now. Links course in very good shape, considering a summer with no rain. Played at 11am on a Sunday and no one there ! Great time ... lollygagging our way around ... hitting several balls. After a quick look at Woodlands, it seems that Links is greener.
So much fun
Staff was great...course was great...the only bad thing was the group in front of us. Playing the blacks...slow...had to wait on numerous holes for them. Course was amazing...great conditions...wi) be back when I can.
What a nice course!
Wonderful course with good weather.
challenge and feel course.
I want to play again with my friends soon.
The Links at Hawks Prairie
Great deal with GolfNow. First time playing at Hawks Prairie. Staff was friendly enough. Practice facility is fair to average. I get spoiled playing at Gold Mountain which has a great practice facility. With two courses, pace of play was a non issue. Not once did we wait for the group in front and nobody breathing down our backs. It was a Monday so the player numbers may have been lower. I was paired with two other gentleman who were awesome and very nice to play with. Rex was the resident expert and was very willing to get course management tips. The overall course was a little challenging but playable for most. The speed on the greens was very fast or perhaps my normal course has very slow greens, Ha! I will certainly play here again. I did not eat at the course but the Army guys playing ahead seemed to enjoy the food as we met at the turn. Keep your receipt as the on course bathrooms have a keycode which is located on your receipt.
The Links at Hawks Prairie
The course was in good shape, the greens were especially nice. If not familiar with the course, the signage could be improved because it could be hard to figure out. Challenging due to high grass if you got off the fairway at any point and placement of the bunkers. Scenic and enjoyable.
Hawks Prairie Links
Enjoyable day but pace of play ground to dead slow at the 12th hole..marshals were around but seemed to avoid any interaction with the slow players..course was in good shape, greens excellent and staff accommodating..GN price made this a great day..normal rate is way overpriced for the area..
Mid week tee time
We booked a tee time on Wednesday morning. We had a foursome. The front staff was very friendly and professional. We teed off on time.
The cart rules were 90* after the first hole which is plenty reasonable. We had a great time. Plenty of challenges. The links course has some decent elevation change.
We'll be playing this course again.
