Don't be misled by the yardage!
Orchard Hills is a diamond in the "rough" outside of Vancouver. While the yardage is short in number this course is all you can handle no matter what your handicap is. The staff is very cordial and while conditions were a bit off due to sanding, the greens were great and overall condition extremely positive. This course is definitely worth the drive. Tree lined and beautiful !
Two really different 9's, local knowledge is a help...( so play more than once), the greens are quick and in great shape.
The course is not long but hit it in the fairway or pay the price, and remember, when putting, EVERYTHING breaks toward the Columbia River. The front side is shorter by about 300 yards, but tricky and the back which was built some thirty plus years later is much different and seems much longer than the 300 extra yards...maybe that is because the par fives are pretty short...but to putt for eagle, you better hit it in the fairway on the drive for that great opportunity. Even though I believe the course is private, the members as well as the staff are very friendly and that made the experience a good one. And yes, I will play there again.
Great course
Very friendly staff course was in great shape. greens were great. The fairways survived our monsoon rains we had the previous week
Nice course
Great course even better price. Greens were just sanded so they weren't in top condition. In a week or so everything will be top notch. Front and Back nine are two complete different courses. Makes for a fun round.
Great greens; well maintained course
Interesting contrast between front nine and back nine made for enjoyable round.
great value, well maintained course
Our first time at Orchard Hills, enjoyed our time. Is a fun little course in a blue collar neighborhood. Goofy range (195 yards max), quiet little clubhouse and nice putting green prepares for front nine that is a little packed in with lots of side-by-side holes, but the back nine was fantastic. Really enjoyed our round and will definitely be back.
The couse was difficult and well maintained
Course is narrow with big trees to the sides. Length is deceiving with short doglegs, but challenging long par 4's and 5's with some sloping fairways. Greens were fast, putting several times past the hole, and were difficult to hold on wedge shots.
Great course
My friend and I golf all over the place in north Portland and SW WA
and this course was a nice challenge and was a great value for the money!
We were informed about the challenges on the course and how to navigate the course.
It was two different courses, the front nice was great play with some trees and the back nine had great elevation changes that made it fun to play!
I would go back again and again!
Thanks!
Beautiful course and interest to play
This course looks easy but in reality it is very difficult if you don't shot very accurate and putt well. Green speed is super fast and not easy to read. Maybe need several times play to realize the shape. Good course condition and beautiful scene as well.
Really cool carts with GPS!
Nice course, very beautiful and well maintained. Long way between holes. Busy place, some back up at times. Worth it though. $$$$$ Rates unless you get a deal.
Good layout but the greens are extremely difficult.
I like playing there but the greens are not forgiving. Good shots to the greens are not rewarded because of the slope. It is not unusual to 3 and 4 putt.
Lots of fun!
Staff was great! Course was in great shape, had lots of fun! Will be back for sure!
Two different nines. First nine is tight and second nine is longer, but more open. Has some interesting holes on both sides and nice greens.
Need your "A" game to play well. Strategy off the tee is important. Do not get greedy!
Golfing as a guest
Welcoming staff and members. Great greens and challenging fairways. Great price and this is the key.. They do not nickle and dime you for practice balls and a walking cart. Thank you

Fun track, well maintained, good pace of play and worth the drive.
We played a late morning round on a Saturday and were pleasently surprised that we made the round in just over 4 hours walking. Never were we waiting nor being pushed from behind. The course was in optimal condition. The fairways offered up plenty of roll, the bunkers actually had sand and the greens were fast and challenging. The staff was very friendly and the service cart staff was working the course efficiently. We'll play here again.
excellant condition and perfect greens
Great layout scoring opps on the front challenging back nine love the course
Best course I've played in the Vancouver, WA area!
Very friendly and helpful staff, grounds are very well kept, and the greens are in amazing condition for the NW.
Two distinct nines
The older, front nine is short, tight, and tree-lined. The longer back nine is more open and more fun. Courteous staff, very well maintained. The only drawback was the tiny irons-only driving range. Overall, a really cool golf experience.
Nice to OK course Nice Staff
Pace of play very slow, 5'some members playing very slow.
Would be a preferred Muni, below average for aprivate club, needs significant upgrades for a private club.
Old course with large trees, makes shot slection very important
Very fast greens and well placed bunkers. Short course but don't let that fool you. The old tall trees keep your shots very honest, you cannot go through them or over them.
