Tahoma Valley Golf & Country Club
About
Located just 45 minutes southwest of Tacoma, Tahoma Valley Golf Course has garnered a reputation for being the driest course in the Puget Sound. The course boasts well manicured greens that putt fast and true. The greens showcase the best of the Northwest's undulating, bump-and-run golf. Its location provides every hole with a stunning view of Mount Rainier. Just shy of 6,000 yards from the back tees, it's not an especially long layout but it is narrow enough to present a challenge. The wide fairways are forgiving, making it player friendly enough for beginners, and there are enough challenges to please high handicappers as well. With an abundance of mature trees throughout, Tahoma Valley Golf Course demands accuracy. The par 3s are particularly memorable for both their views and level of difficulty.

No wheels.
Tee time included golf carts. The course was out of golf carts and delayed our 2:32 start for over half hour. It was Super Bowl Sunday and we wanted to get back for the game.
I like the tee time walking so there’s no hold ups.
The course was fun
I enjoyed playing here. Some small greens, a few blind shots made it all a good challenge.
Love the place wish i lived closer
Excellent as usual! Nice friendly staff golf and restaurant. Very pleasant to come to know them.
Drive a little, save a lot.
Had a great playing day today. Perfect weather, course in great shape, not too crowded and the beer was good and cold afterward.
The usual
Solid little course. Not great. Not bad. Recent price increases reduces value of play. 5 hour round yesterday due to being crowded. Usually play in 3- 3 1/2 hours. Greens are good. Course is wet/soft but very playable.
Rip. Off.
44 dollars for this course? I thought it would be decent given the reviews, but apparently the people reviewing this course haven’t played a GOOD course before. Do NOT waste your time or money if you are a decent golfer.
Horrible for the Price
Saw that this course had pretty good reviews so thought I would give it a shot. Terrible idea. $44!?!? Yeah, it included a cart, but I can play pretty much anywhere in the Portland area for that price on MUCH nicer courses. The only thing “country club” like about this place is the tiny greens. Every tee box was just patches of grass and most of them weren’t even level. Fairways were garbage. Can tell this place is hick central because no one repairs ball marks or probably even knows what a divot tool is. Looks like they are making some changes, but they should definitely not be charging this amount under the current conditions. Oh and the layout is terrible as well. Maybe 1 or 2 doglegs, and they have dirt traps instead of sand. Highly DO NOT recommend if you are a decent golfer.
Great way to enjoy a Fall afternoon
I really enjoyed my golf round yesterday.. I hadn't golfed for awhile, and it felt good to have enough energy to play 18.. The staff was friendly and helpful ,as it was my first time at this course. Considering the dry summer we've had, the course was in pretty decent shape . The grass at a few T boxes showed some wear , but the greens were mostly in good shape.. It was a week day afternoon, so the course wasn't particularly busy, so I was able to play at a steady pace without any delays. The price of the round was great. I would definitely play here again..
Very nice course
Mostly paved cart paths, very nice electric carts, greens in great shape
Get what you pay for
Course is not in great shape some greens in bad shape. Cost to play is low. Pace of play has been terrible on the weekends as of late. Because of price course gets allot of less experienced golfers which slows the pace down. Depending on your skill level I would suggest avoiding peak hours.
Worst course
Charging full price for absolutely terrible conditions. Greens and tee boxes are in horrible shape.
This course either needs a new owner or new grounds staff or discounted rates. Take your money elsewhere. No driving range for warming up and new 17/18 holes are horrible designs. How is it that 2 brand new holes are basically dead grass already?
