Prairie Woods Golf Course
About
Prairie Woods Golf Course tumbles across some of Wisconsin's most rolling terrain. On almost any point on the course, whether you're standing on the tees, the fairways, or the greens, the undulating landscape will put your skills of perception to the test. The golf course offers plenty of variety with a unique design on each hole. The rolling hills determined the strategic placement of the bunkers and there are water hazards coming into play on several holes. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes and reward a well thought-out shot, but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. The golf course is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees but the changes in elevation can make it feel longer. Besides being one of the most unique rounds in the area, Prairie Woods G.C. is also one of the most affordable.

Reviews
Loved the challenge
This is a well kept course in the rolling wooded location among corn fields. We started on #10 the back nine felt easy and smooth. kinda forgiving fairways' with minimal hazards. The front nine had longer fairways and more water to deal with.
I loved the course layout and pace of play.
It was only the last three hole's that I felt pressure from who I understood was a men's league player. Kept playing up on me, shadowing as I call it.
Great play for any golfer. Challenge yourself and play this great hidden gem in the cornfields. Driving range and putting/practice greens onsite.
Easy access and friendly staff
Easy to find the course and really enjoyed the staff. The layout was a bit confusing so recommend a review before you tee off.
Great course
The course was in great shape. Love the lay out of the course.
Good course, but not for you if you love beer
I understand course etiquette, but 99% of golfers bring a cooler with them when they golf. We were told to return our cooler to our car on the turn. That’s fine, but if you’re going to do that, there better be two cart girls hustling their butt off because I get thirsty and most certainly finish beers quicker than 45 mins which is when we would see the cart girls.
Great day for golf
It was a great day weather was outstanding with a mild breeze. The course was under a bit of maintenance on sum holes but didn't impact play and there crew was very polite. Definitely going to try and make it back this season.
Hello. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time! Thanks for playing Prairie Woods Golf Course.
Sand bunkers
Some of the sand bunkers were like mud and some had lots of weeds in them.
Over-all the course looks beautiful and as always is a fun and challenging time.
Enjoyable round
Nice local course. It was in good shape and offered a nice variety of holes with some in woods and others in the prairie, as the name indicates.
Hidden Gem!!
We were traveling fron North Carolina to Minnesota and needed to stretch our legs. I checked out the Golf Now App and found this place. The course was as nice if not nicer than some we have played in SC. Keep up the good work and next time we are passing through you can bet we will stop.
A favorite
By far my favorite local course. Not very long, but lots of tricky holes where you have choices to make. Nice layout, well maintained, and nice people. They use "dynamic" pricing, so you can usually get a bargain if you wait or use an online tee time service.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by our policy on coolers. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration to improve our service. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
