NorthWood Golf Course
About
Northwood Golf Club provides a pleasant getaway that has the advantage of being less crowded than a metropolitan course and the convenience of being less than three hours north of Wisconsin's major cities. The peaceful feeling of seclusion is enhanced even further by the course's location just minutes from hundreds of lakes as well as the Pelican and Wisconsin Rivers. The golf course plays across rolling, wooded hills. Mature trees frame the holes and they helped to carve the shape of the challenging doglegs. Northwood is a course that will test your accuracy but it is also more forgiving than it seems. There are a few holes featuring water hazards including the par-3 11th, which has an island green. Wind is also a factor on many holes.

Golf and Fall colors
Course in great shape and greens were true. 3.5 hour round. Colors were beautiful and it was an overall wonderful experience. Especially for the all in price of $26 per person
Worth a visit
Very challenging course. No chance of playing a recovery shot out of the woods. Bring a good supply of balls if you're spraying it around.
Nice Course
In great shape, friendly cart girl, always look forward to playing Northwood!
Very good course
It is course that rewards accuracy rather than length. Greens and fairways in good shape. The only complaint for the course is the bunkers. The sand was packed and difficult to get a wedge appropriately under the ball. Under a 1/2” of top sand it was packed fairly hard. Otherwise a very nice course. Bring lots of balls, woods lining the fairways gobble them up.
Beautiful and challenging
Beautiful and challenging course, staff was friendly. Bar and grill opens at 2 during week and is very nice as well. Greens were recently aerated but in good shape, just a bit slower than usual
Great golf course
I had a wonderful time today course was in great shape and three different 4somes let me play through since I was alone it made for a great day
Pleasant surprise!
Booked at the last minute and very glad I did ! Only problem was cart path only, but a big rain the day before so it was expected. Awesome course.
Visiting Rhinelander
This course is one of the best designed courses in the northwoods. Love the layout, and rewards great ball striking. It’s one of the tightest fairways you will play. The course condition is just average compared to others around. It’s not as good as it use to be. If your in the area definitely play it.
