Longer or shorter than I like
The blue tees are over 6200 or the whites are too short at 5800 yards. I like 6000 yards as a comfort zone and they don't offer a hybrid tee mix for 6000 yards, very disappointing. Course was green in the fairways and had water to drink on a hot day. The greens were firm & faster but not burned out. Good course just need longer white tees or a hybrid mix.
Great Course
Weird cart rules. Can’t drive in the rough and need to keep it on the fairway or cart path. Overall nice course. Way to much water, it’s literally on every hole.
Excellent Track
I played here with my group for the first time on a beautiful Tuesday morning. The fairways roofs and greens were in great shape. Almost all of the tea boxes were playable with you exceptions. The pace of play was fine. The fairways were comparable to much more expensive courses, and I was very impressed by the level of maintenance that was apparent. the cost was very reasonable and I believe it to be an overall outstanding value. Will definitely play here again and highly recommend it.
A good course worth my 1 hour 20 minutes drive
This course does not have a fancy club house, but it is in very good shape. Fairway and greens are maintained in high standard. There are quite a lot of memorable holes. I will certainly go back to play again this year.
Mostly generous fairways with a great 18th hole
Turtle Creek is always in good shape and is fun to play. A few holes have tight tee shots but mostly a wide open course. The 18th hole par 5 is great finishing hole where par is a rare feat in the groups I have played. Greens speed is above average but play with less break than they may appear. Fun course to play.
All around amazing!
My friend and I played up here and had an absolute amazing time. The course is in phenomenal shape, the greens are a touch shaggy but still okay. My only gripe with this course is the pace of play. I was two over on the front, and four on the back.. And in between each shot I had to wait at least 5 minutes or more. The group in front of us was horrifically slow. And the group in front of them was also incredibly slow. With golf demographics changing it's hard to play on a course when you're behind seven foursomes of seniors.
Would that being said, the course itself was immaculate and it was a very good time!
5 years later
Second straight week I’ve played a place I haven’t played in over 5 years. Everything 90%+ probably the best bunkers I’ve seen in a long time! A 5 hour round always takes away from the overall pleasant experience.
Worth the drive, highly recommend this course
This course is worth every star I rated, it was my first time here and I will be coming back again. The price point was perfect and the course itself was amazing, you can tell the care that they put into this facility. Though it was a bit of a drive for me to get there it was worth it, every friend and co worker I have I have already told them about this course
Perfect Sunday round
I love Turtle Creek! The layout is super fun. Lots of room to bomb tee shots, challenging greens, fun bunkers and just enough trouble to keep it interesting. Pace of play, like most public golf these days can be a menace. Played Sunday afternoon in the heat and it moved nicely. There was one slow 4some that could have bogged down the whole course but they pulled off after 9 and the back was wide open. Great day.
Beautifully Well Kept Course
This was my first time playing the course and compared to some of the others in the area it was beautiful. It had just the right amount of challenge while still being very fun to play. The course superintendent also treated everyone playing to a free beer in celebration of the first day of summer!
Was so slow and 1st course in my 30 years of playing Cart path only on Every Single hole !
I ALWAYS have enjoyed xomibg to this course but The pace has gotten slower n slower and Cart path only on Every Sibgle hole was Ridiculous !
Awesome place
Couldn’t be happier, great conditions and great pace of play. First time going for me and won’t be the last. Overall the value of this course you can’t beat.
