Warminster's Five Ponds Golf Club
About
Warminster's Five Ponds Golf Club, true to its name, weaves through a series of five ponds that are deftly incorporated into the design. Naturally, water is a prominent feature on the course but there is also a rolling topography that provides interesting elevation changes. The layout starts with a more open front nine and becomes tighter and more wooded on the back nine. Many of the holes have elevated tees that offer scenic views of the surrounding countryside. It provides a challenging but fair round that features wide fairways and large, receptive greens that make it approachable for beginners. In addition to the golf course, Five Ponds boasts an all grass driving range and a 7,000 square foot putting green. Its condition, amenities, and of course the scenic layout have made the club one of the most popular public courses in the area.

Great condition, slower than normal greens
Fairways, greens and traps in excellent condition. Five Ponds is known for very fast and true greens; for some reason; they set up their greens to run 3 feet slower than normal which was a disappointment.
nice layout, not easy but very fair.
only two blind tee shots, very nice greens, par 5s well designed and challenging. great 17th par 3. go and enjoy.
Beautiful course. Feel of private course.
Would recommend this course to everyone, all skill levels. Really well maintained and the new bunkers have made course even more of a challenge.
Great Course - Lots of challenges... Oh there's ponds
LIKED IT - would have liked it better if I played earlier in the day - got a little crowded - a very nice golfer pulled his car up to the 18th - turned his headlights on - so we could finish
I will definitely go back - but earlier in the day.
Did not hang out in the bar after - so no comment on that...
Very slow round
2:45 front nine, signs everywhere about pace of play but no rangers enforcing the pace of play.
Not worth playing
This course was not in good shape. Greens weren't good and fairways where terrible!! Carts not allowed on about eight plus holes. Course is overpacked and moves way to slow!! I would not play it with all the other courses in the area!!!
Grumpy staff
This a good, solid course but the rates and the attitude of the staff left with a bad taste in my mouth. It's a muni but a good one and the staff acts like union beauacrats who are unaccountable for their attitude. I also feel like this course is about ten dollars to expensive for the market. It's ashame because I enjoyed the golf but the rest of the experience made it not worth the time or money.
Nice
I haven't played this course in years. Everything was great about the course. I would definitely go back.
Five Ponds Gets 4 out of 5
This par 71 from the blue tees is rated 71.5/131, and that seems about right. A good, tough, fun course. Some holes short & mild, but also some long & intimidating (e.g. #8, 12, 15, 16).
Greens, fairways, tees in good shape.
A super value at my special price of $21.
Beautiful course with some very challenging holes.
Course is beautiful and staff very friendly and helpful. Layout of facility such that all amenities close together and easy to find.
above and beyond
i have played most of the public courses in a 30 mile radius. this is truly a treat.
nice round friendly players
some challenging holes, nice par 5's, golfer needs to manage the course
Great Day
Course in very good condition and play time was great. Tuesday afternoon must be a good time to golf
Long, Challenging, Fun
Five Ponds is great municipal course. It has a great layout, all the holes are attractive, and it is very well maintained. The course plays long (6,300 yds from the whites I think) and there are some par fours that should be fives. The greens are huge, receptive, and most are easy enough to hit in regulation with a good drive and mid-iron. They are also quick, but don’t take as much break as they should since they keep them a little grainy. It’s kind of like putting on a sponge top. Regardless, this course has everything I like: modern design, huge greens, and pristine conditions.
great for the money
This is an excellent public course that is well maintained. It is popular and does get crowded and thus can bew slow at times.
driving range in easily accessible location. each hole was challenging and greens were in great shape
the staff was very helpful with my needs. carts were in good shape . driving range was in a perfect location with the putting green, right next to the first tee box.
Beautiful course!
Nice course and will play again. Too bad we had to be paired up with someone else. They were slow players, people skipped holes to pass us and we were out there for 4.5hrs. Way too long of a day.
Best Public Course Around!!!
Got there 15 minutes after my scheduled tee time, and the staff was still able to accommodate me. The course was in awesome shape. The practice area is amazing and the driving range hitting area was just re sodded. I cant find anything bad to say about 5 Ponds.
An enjoyable experience on a well maintained course
It was my first time playing five ponds and really liked it. We teed off on A Friday around 1230 and played in a little under 4 hours which is terrific. The course was relatively long and challenging. It is kept in better shape the many of the other courses in the area.
A Lot of water, but nice !
Had a great but very warm experience. I would definitely recommend this course to my friends. Good value.
