Don't be late!
I was 5 minutes late, after calling up and giving the heads up they still wouldn't let me go out. They were rude and unhelpful. Told me I could pay again and play 3 hours later but there was no time to squeeze me in being a solo. I do not recommend this course to anyone.
Fun but difficult
Water... water... water. Lots of water to encounter at Bay Pointe. But that really adds to the challenge since there isn't much sand. Fairways are narrow. A lot of doglegs throughout the course. Greens were in great shape! They play fast. Some of the better greens in the Jackson area for sure. Pin placement can make some holes extremely difficult... fairly easy positions when I played this last time. The staff is always friendly.
Very nice tough course
Very nice course with nice greens but is a difficult course that is tight and has fast greens.
Very challenging course due to water hazards & doglegs
Course was in great shape & staff is always so nice. Due to the abundance of water & so many dogleg fairways, it is so challenging for every level of golfer especially if you have not played the course much. Sand traps are well maintained. Cart pats are in need of repair but everything else is good. Great place to play.
Not good
There are very few yardage markers and the ones that are there aren't very accurate. Tough to navigate one hole to the next. It had rained recently, but course was in poor condition. Bare dirt and weeds were more prominent that turf grass.
Great way to spend a day!
I've golfed here several times and plan to golf here often. It's one of the very best locations and staffed with the BEST people. The are always friendly and accommodating. Each hole has its own unique challenges which I enjoy. I've never been disappointed.
Challenging course
I like the course, the layout, and the challenge
I can't believe it; and that's not good!
First, let me just say, the staff at this place was very nice! Now that I have mentioned all of the positives, on to the bad.
If there is a worse place to play in all of Mississippi, I don't want to see it. This course was in terrible shape! It is my understanding that they are in a drought. Nothing you can do about that, but hey, why not mention that before folks make reservations online? Does a drought prevent you from maintaining the fairways? The greens? The course in general? I think not!
If I had been a local, or if I had the time and knowledge of another course nearby, I would have gladly gone elsewhere.
If you are looking for a place just to go and hit some balls, this is your place. But, if you are looking for a good, well maintained course with a decent challenge, you may want to look for another spot.
Like this course
It is challenging to beginning and intermediate golfers, especially on the Front 9. The water hazards are strategically placed to make you pace yourself and use the versatility of your bag.
Friendly
Ran into 3 gentleman that play the course 3 times a week and invited me to play it is a tight course but they gave me a lot of help will play again soon it was very hot that morning glad we teed off early
Excellent Course
The course was in wonderful condition when we went and played it! The greens were in excellent condition, the fairways were in great condition, and the tee boxes were in excellent condition! This course is not an easy course with water challenging many of your shots, but it is an extremely fun course that we will definitely be playing again!!!
Great course for the money!
This is a wonderful little golf course. They are very friendly in the clubhouse and everywhere else as well. The only drawbacks to this course is that the greens are too small, the fairways are tight ( hit the 3 wood often off the tee), and there is a lot of water. That is what gives the course character. If you hit the ball straight you will enjoy it. If you are inconsistent, the course will punish you.
Interesting course, friendly staff!
Some target golf and some tight holes. Course was in nice shape, if the greens were maybe a bit long...
Really interesting course, only one bunker on the whole track as far as I remember! Totally worth a look if you are in the area.
Course was in great shape

Good Challenge
Fun course to play. Was still a bit damp after big rain previous week, but not as bad as expected. Need to be accurate with entire game. This course has a lot if water hazards. Still the layout gives you a fair chance to score. Would love to play this in optimum conditions. Highly recommend you try it. Clubhouse staff was very friendly.

Great for the money
Course is a great deal for your money if you're able to get a hot deal. Course gets lots of traffic and difficult to play when wet.
A disappointing experience
It was Sunday, mid-morning, primetime for golf. There was no starter, no ranger, no beverage cart. A lot of 5somes on the course. The guy in the pro shop wasn't friendly, wasn't helpful, wouldn't even tell me when to tee off or with whom. The range balls and carts are shabby. I got the vibe that this course is for the good ole boys who play there regularly, and outsiders aren't welcome. The course itself is short and extremely tricky to the point of being unfair. A lot of doglegs and trees. Small, push-up greens that are difficult to putt. Can't make a ball mark on these greens, even with a wedge. They're firm. Neither the fairways or greens were overseeded. Instead, they decided to spray paint the fairways green, which isn't very useful.
Great but tough course! Beautiful, clean with friendly staff. Lots of Hills and adventurous holes. We'll be back.
