Cobb's Glen Country Club
About
Cobb's Glen Country Club is named after its designer, George Cobb, a Georgia native who lived in Greenville most of his life. He designed many golf courses in the South, including the par-3 course at Augusta National. The golf course sprawls across rolling terrain blanketed with mature forests. Opened in 1976, the layout may be more traditional than modern golf courses but it still presents one of the area's most formidable challenges. The course has hosted a variety of events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifier and the South Carolina Amateur Championship. There are 90 bunkers strategically placed throughout, and the greens are lightning fast. The 11th is one of the most memorable holes. This par 3 plays over water to a triple-tiered green that is flanked by three bunkers on the right, one for each tier.

Course 100 % better than 3 years ago.
Played here 3 years ago and course NEEDED much work. That’s EXACTLY what they have accomplished. A few places here and there on the greens but no many. - very happy to see this course on an upward trend. Love to see a ranger to speed up play just a little. Pro shop staff and maintenance on the course very friendly which is always nice. Had to wait on tee boxes bout every hole. One way to look at it I guess is we made new friends with the group playing behind us.
Great course
need someone to manage pace of play. Stuck behind a foursome that took 5 hrs to play
Great Course
Brookstone is our favorite course to play in the area and have always had a great experience. Staff is very friendly and course is in great shape.
1st time here
Not a bad neighborhood course at all. The greens were really fast because of really hard surfaced grass that seemed compacted. Very hard to read
Staff
The staff was okay with me but one in my group had an issue with him. I was also told that they charged more than what golf now showed. I didn’t check my receipt but it makes sense based on my total after buying a bucket of range balls. It’s three dollars more but still. The range also had very little to no grass to hit off of. The course itself was okay and in decent shape.
Enjoyable Round
The golf course overall was in good shape. Sand in the bunkers, grass on the tee boxes, etc. The greens rolled really well with the exception of one that had some damage, but other than that one they were fast and true. Pins were in some tricky spots which made for some frustrating holes if you were on the wrong side of the hole. The fairways also had a lot of poa annua, and that made for some tough lies if you play it down. Overall, great shape, would recommend and play again.
