Dirt is easier to play on
0 stars is not a even good enough for this course. Even when a good shot is hit in the middle of the fairway, you are hitting of grass that looks like a rolled drive over it. For the money you pay to play golf you expect to hit off grass. Not rocks and dirt with grass sprinkled in.
Will be back
You get what you pay for. Greens definitely need some love on many holes. Good variety of desert like holes including water.
Disappointed
I have played Silverbell in the past and was satisfied with the course condition, but on this occasion, I could not have been more disappointed. There is literally no grass in the fairways and the greens were anything but green. I don't know what has happened to the course, but I hope they find a way to bring it back to life.
They should be embarrassed charging the fee I paid to deliver a course in this condition.
Fairways were in terrible condition, there was basically no grass.
They sent a single out in front of us, he joined the foursome ahead of us, made a group of five, two walking, and three in carts. Called the pro shop, came out and split the group up. Then a threesome behind us, that the starter moved us ahead because they were not ready, came up and told the single to join them. This was fine, but instead of the single dropping back with them, they just moved up, telling us, they were scheduled to be before us. This was not right! They weren’t ready at their tee time, they should have stayed behind us.
Not Worth The Money
Horrible course conditions. Need a new Grounds Manager to keep this course in good shape.
Greens terrible
Played this course numerous times and found out to be nice. Haven't played for a couple of weeks and the greens are just terrible. Looks like weeds and very bumpy. Will not be going back until I see
Poor conditions for prime season
Dormant painted fairways and greens were half dead. For being prime season course was in terrible shape. It is a flat course so there are a lot of walkers which slows the pace of play to a slow crawl. Plan on a 5 hour round
This course is a Dog Track
Unbelievably poor condition, a total sham for $52…….Have never played a course so bad in 49 yrs of golf.. The greens were worse than pathetic and fairways were painted , presumably to attract the unsuspecting golfer. Close it down.
Like playing in a cesspool
Be aware that fully 50% of the course is blanketed in a massive stink zone. We played twice in the past four days, but never again. The water is so stinky it gags you. The greens are in awful shape. It was windy, I can't imagine the smell on a calm day.
First and last time
This course is a joke, fairways don't have grass. If you do find some fairway grass it is parched or brown
Back 9 was backed up where I counted 4 groups waiting to tee off on one of the par threes. No Marshall to control play, Fairways have not seen water since last years monsoon season
Total waste of money
Jack
Cold and wet
Unfortunately we were driven off the course after 6 holes of play by the extreme cold, rain, hail and high winds, so, not too surprisingly we did not see any other insane people on the course and pace of play was dictated by our own ability to actually move in our multiple layers of clothing. The staff were very friendly and we were given rainchecks with no argument. This was a very pleasant surprise.
