The Course at Wente Vineyards

Really friendly staff both at sign up and on course
Played with a couple of locals who also made the day enjoyable.

It has always puzzled me how this course doesn't get more acclaim. It has a fun and beautiful layout, great amenities and a friendly staff. The course is always well maintained and the people who play the course have good etiquette.

It is a little bit challenging to get to but overall an excellent value for what you pay. Only thing to note is if you play when it is hot you will need to drink a lot of water. It is very dry and they have water stations but it is easy to get very dehydrated.

course is beautiful in wine country ..staff very friendly and accommodating....course layout is fun, would play every day if I could....I believe 17 tee box is being worked on but will be nice when completed ....

But some pace of play issues

The starter didn't let us know about the shift in the tee box on 15 (16?)

Another great round at Wente. Pace was great at 4:20. Greens were not fast but very true. Very enjoyable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I try to play Wente at least once a year if not two or three times. This time though, it wasn't as good as in previous rounds. Greens were sanded and micro-punched and none of the employees said anything. Carts were on path only and only the started mentioned anything. Also, they claimed the reason for having carts on paths only was b/c the fairways were soggy from overwatering and not once did I experience soggy fairways. Paths only slowed the pace of play significantly. I'll certainly keep playing Wente, but they could do a better job of communicating to the patrons.

Great golf course with lots of variety and elevation. Greens are fast and tricky. Staff was helpful and polite. Good pace until 15. Not sure what can be done about that. Since there’s lots of challenges for my amateur skills, I’ll for sure be back.

From the lush fairways to the smooth greens everything was in great condition. Pace of play was exactly 4 hours. Great time, highly recommend.

Despite no rain for many weeks, the course was surprisingly soggy in many areas. I hit one drive that almost plugged. Many areas left intentionally overgrown.

Too many distracting warning messages on the cart GPS.

Great challenging course. Elevation changes and shot shaping make this course both challenging and captivating. The condition was pristine. Will definitely be back!
