Nice views
The layout is good, beautiful views. Course is in ok shape for the time of year but needs some water. Not worth the normal rate but twilight rate was doable.
One of the best courses I’ve ever played
8 handicap here. Shot a 89 yesterday and had the time of my golfing life. Walked 18 and it was the hardest walking round of my playing career. The course was in amazing shape, greens were a little sandy, but overall in good condition for this time of year. I don’t agree with other reviews about the back 9 being spectacular and the front 9 being mediocre with houses lining the fairways. My humble opinion is that the front 9 is just as spectacular as the back 9. The houses are actually not that thick, and they’re beautiful homes to have to look at. I could but only admire. The course design and awesome topography shifts more than make up for any perceived flaws from houses vs. woods front and back nonsense. The holes are breathtaking in their own unique mountain beauty and each can play in a way that makes you want to play each one in a thousand different ways. Bring your A-game, the course is challenging in the funnest of ways. Staff was very friendly!
Love the layout and the course.. one of the best on the front range. Offers a bit of everything. I also enjoy playing Tom Weiskopf tracks.
Five hour rounds are no fun!
Five hour plus rounds are a constant issue at this course. In addition, they cram public play in between tournaments. Not worth the money they charge. Also, today was "cart path only" which they did not tell us at the time of booking. And yet the group behind us was driving all over the fairway on each hole! Where is a marshal to enforce the rules? Won't ever be back here. And I used to be a "Ridge Pass" member for several years.
Too many other good golf courses to play in the Denver metro area that treat their guests better than this course!
$85j for cart path only, bathrooms are not available on the course, no beverage cart, ....
Greens were in good condition as were the fairways. Bunkers are FULL of gravel, so be careful since you will probably damage your club hitting out of the rocks (not really sand)
Beautiful Course Views
I would go back for the views and hopefully get a less windy day. No big deal and nobody can control the weather. Pace of play was slow especially on back 9.
I was underwhelmed by the selection of pro shop merchandise and while the staff was friendly at the counter I found the rest of the staff to be unwelcoming. No food at the restaurant which was a let down. The course is convenient off I 25 and fun to play. I would go back but pack my own lunch.
Not sure why price is so high
No course ranger so pace of play was so. Dirt traps instead of sand which is crazy. Bathrooms closed. Cart path only. No beverage cart. Charging full price for an experience that lacks
Lovely course, horrible management.
Course is in great shape, only the sand traps are in rough shape. Amazing layout and beautiful views. That’s where it stops. I’ve played here twice recently and each time my rounds have been 5+ hours. I have never in my life had rounds as long as I have on this course. There were 4 groups together on hole 6-7, 3 groups on every other hole till 18. I waited on every single tee shot starting at hole 4, till 18.
Wow just wow
Played three places in the area, Fossil Trace, Sanctuary, and the Ridge.. This was easily the best value and just a pretty. Playable but challenging, really friendly staff from bag drop to starter.
Reputation solidified ….
440pm GN tee time or $57!! Paired with 3 others to make a 4some - rarely waited on front and had back 9 totally to ourselves. Finished all 18 in 3 1/2 hours of non rushed golf.
Course is in excellent shape. Fairways immaculate. Greens still have some sand left on them but any of these prima Donna complaints on the green condition is laughable. Couple of tee boxes chewed up but nothing major.
Could have used beverage cart on course and I didn’t see any water on course but may have missed it since my cooler was stocked.
The reviews speak for themselves and the rep is well earned
Fun course well maintained
This course has a great mountain course layout without having to go to the mountains. The conditions are on par for the greens fee. If it were a bit less expensive I would play more often. And they rarely have deals, even on golf now. Other minor issues are the lack of water stations and they only have beverage cart service on Fri to sun. Their on cart gps also did not work for us but with phone apps and yardage finders everyone has this is not that big of an issue other than its probably priced into their greens fees. I would recommend this course for occasional play but the price point is a bit high to play on a regular basis
Accuracy test
I’ve always loved this course. The challenging layout amongst scrub oak valleys. We were within 50’ of deer several times. Be aware, if you don’t like sand traps, this course is lousy with deep ones and the green s have lots of undulations. Bottom line, this course is challenging in every aspect of the game and not for beginners.
Overall great course
Beautiful layout with plenty of obstacles. Played with members who were friendly and helpful. Bunkers need help, rocks and some hard pan. Otherwise staff was friendly and would definitely play again.
