The Olympic at Gold Mountain Golf Course
About
Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Washington offers two championship courses, the Olympic and Cascade, both of which are known as two of the best public courses in the greater Seattle area. The Olympic Course is the more challenging of the two with more hills and water hazards. Dramatically sculpted from the thick Pacific Northwest forest, the driving corridors are surprisingly generous. Towering evergreens line the fairways and there are significant elevation changes throughout, making it a complete workout to walk the course. The layout's most challenging element is the undulating greens, which are often guarded by bunkers and mounding. The final four holes are the most memorable featuring a combination of water, trees, and stunning views. The final hole on the Olympic Course is a drivable par 4 that is the perfect finish to your round.

Olympic course is one of the best courses in Western Washington
The Olympic course was in GREAT condition. The fairways were clean and well cut. The rough was cut so that it was tough but not unplayable. The greens were amazing. They rolled fast and true. The pace of play was great. 4 hour round of golf on a Sunday. They do a great job of keeping the pace on that course.
Great Course, Grumpy Marshall
The course itself, the cartgirl, and bar staff were first rate. We apparently, upset one of the course marshalls, because of our pace of play, and he really tailed us to the point if distraction. That lone point was disappointing, but all the rest was great.
Awesome Experience
Top three courses I have played in WA. If I lived within 15 minutes of the course I would buy a membership. If you like fast, undulating greens you will not be disappointed playing the Olympic course. Course and facilities are incredible.
Wonderful day.
Didn't play well that day but each hole is like Lewis and Clark peering over each vista for the first time.....and this was my 4th time playing the Olympic course. My son and I love it here. Can't wait to get back.
Slow, slow, and slow
Course condition was OK, but the pace was too slow. We booked a tee time at 1:40 PM, got starting at 2 PM, and finished 15 holes at 7 PM and left the course unhappy.
Soggy yet serene
The online tee times are quite convenient. We had everything waiting for us and experienced no delays. We were there mid-week in April and there was no one in front or behind us, which gave us ample time to scope out the Olympic course as first-timers. Thankfully the rain held off until the last three holes, but even then the conditions were splendid.
The staff were very helpful, to me especially as I am a new caddy and needed some additional pointers on golf etiquette.
We ordered lunch to go for the back nine and it was scrumptious.
Now that we have a feel for this course, we will certainly come again and play with a two- or foursome.
And who wouldn't want to say they golfed where Jordan Spieth and his then new caddy Michael Greller won the 2011 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship!?
Beautiful challenging Secluded Course
The Olympic Course is as beautiful a course I've played surrounded by no houses. Several elevation changes throughout course. Geens were fast but true and very well taken care of. Overall just an awesome course to go play especially if you can go during the week when pace of play is outstanding.
A great day!
I've golfed at Gold Mountain many times and its a nice venue. Today was a particularly great day. I tend to shy away from GM a bit due to crowding and slow pace of play, but we got a phenomenal deal on GolfNow.com and played the Olympic Course (the newer and better of the two) mid-day on a Tuesday. We were a twosome and were able to play quickly until we caught up with a group on 16. The weather was supposed to be iffy but ended up being great--we only got a couple of raindrops. The course has wintered well and was in excellent shape. Now, if I can just get my game in gear for Spring! Overall a great day.
Interesting course
The course was in good shape. I loved the greens. The ball rolled true on each green. I would play it again.
The best day
When the weather man said 69degrees, we made the tee time. Gold Mountain in the sun is pure GOLD!!!! Things are shaping up really good for spring golf, lots of grounds keepers says alot!!!! We will be playing next weekalso.
Olympic Gold
Gold Mountain Golf has a gem here. First time on the Olympic Course and certainly not disappointed. Paired up with 3 Fireman who were patient and helpfully in navigating the fairways. The area received nearly 2 inches of rain two days prior but you could hardly tell. The maintenance crew had the area cleared of down branches from the storm the day prior. If your looking for a great golf course for a reasonable rate with a friendly, helpfull staff, head out to Gold Mountain.
Value is tops!
Can't beat the value! $25 for a course that hosts junior amateur.
Best municipal course I've ever played!
Excellent course.
Everything but the older staff in the pro shop was amazing. The real young employees are gems.
Great conditions for early season
Great conditions for early season. Caught it on a sunny day.
:)
I was so excited to play top 50 course for under 50.
Well; I get there 30 minutes before my tee time @ 11:56.
The staff told it me it would be a 45 minute delay....
At 12:25pm they said it could be another 45.
I was so upset. Couldn't do anything because I drove 90 minutes to play this course.
We finally were able to tee off at 12:58pm.
The course was in good condition. I was disappointed on this very very busy day with the sun out and to not have a beverage cart is poor management. If they are trying to make up time. Have a cart so people don't stop and get a drink on the turn.
We asked at the beginning if we would be able to finish the round. They said yes. We played at a five hour pace. I only saw one marshall. We were hit into five times.
We finished in the dark.
I really wanted to rate this course higher....
Gold Mountain lives up to expectations again
It was a stellar February day and the course and staff were awesome. Event though they had a good turnout for the day on both courses, it felt like we were the only ones on the Olympic course. Your own course on a sunny day, Nothing better
Hidden gem
this is the best golf course on the face of the earth for $50 enough said
Gold Mountain Olympic
Above average municipal course, excellent value via GolfNow
A five-some?!?!?
Everything about this round was awesome. Except for the five-some they let out two groups ahead of us. At one point there were 4 groups on the par five behind us. I probably should have called the club house but I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and have them let people play through.
Great Deal
Got it for $27 with cart and fees. We walked the course because it was cart path only and to get the full experience. The course drains well. Little over an hour to drive from Seattle area. Greens were great for how wet the course was. Will be back again in the summer if I can get a good deal.
