Mountain at Incline Village Golf Resort
About
Set in Tahoe, Incline Village features two golf courses that will have golfers itching for more. The Mountain Course is one of them, and this Robert Trent Jones Jr. design will appeal to even the most demanding of golfers.
The Mountain Course, designated a "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary," combines a unique design that brings the most out of its immensely scenic qualities. Jones Jr. used the natural landscape to create a course that is one with nature, but more than challenging enough for low-handicappers. Even so, the multiple tee placements make it a perfect challenge for all golfers, making the Mountain Course a must play for those looking for the perfect High Sierra golf package.
Tahoe locals have long been fans of the Mountain Course, as have those on golf vacations to Incline Village and Tahoe. Add to that superior service - it has been ranked No. 1 in the nation for customer satisfaction by the National Golf Foundation - and you'll see why the Mountain Course at Incline Village is a special place for golfers.

Incline Mountain Course
This was a fun and challenging executive 18 hole course. It is a terrific way to work on your short game. The greens were moderately difficult . I would recommend and think it's a good value. We were there on a Sunday in October & not much play but I could see how it could get backed up if busy.
Mountain Course at Incline Village
Great course, fun and enjoyable
Lots of shots that you hit down to greens. Nice to play in the forest.
Fun for the money!
Really fun par 58 course. Offering interesting layout and challenging shots. Very nice, helpful staff. Great shape. I'm from the Bay Area and this was my first time here. Looking forward to returning with my sons and grandson for a round! I played late afternoon on a weekday so the snack bar closed before I finished.
Great place to learn
Daughter first time golfer, had a great experience. Would say there are some challenging golf cart driving spots!
Lake Tahoe Experience
My son and I played 9 holes. Bc we are intermediate non competitive players this course was just right for us. We usually walk 9 holes but considering this is a hilly course we thought best to drive, considering it's vacation why not!! Its all about accuracy on this course. It was just fun to play a different course and say "we golfed Lake Tahoe" ... Staff was friendly. We rented clubs and the staff was efficient and helpful. I forgot balls so they just gave us a small handful of balls to use. Usually you need to bring your own. Easy access to find . Club house smaller. Just a really nice experience.
Harder than Imagined
I never had enough club! So deceiving as everything is uphill. Beautiful scenery, but lots of places to loose balls. Rough thick, felt like a mountain goat at times, continuously walking uphill. It was challenging and fun. Would definitely play it again, differently!!
Not to miss!
A truly refreshing experience! Loved breathing the mountain air ! An adventure to remember!
Incline/Tahoe
Beautiful par 3/4 golf course. Great for practice for anyone's short game!! Loved it and will play again soon.
Great Mountain Course
This was a fun course, well maintained and secluded. The course meandered through the woods and rushing water could be heard from the stream throughout. Great experience.
Greens and fairways were well cared for and provided moderate difficulty. My only knock is that there were too many par 3s (almost all of them). I played with about 3 clubs for the majority of the course. I am told the Champion course is longer, I'll probably play there next time.
great executive course
have played this course several times ,always impressed by the scenery and course condition.
great practice of your short irons, with 4 par 4s
thrown in .
Incline Mountain
Course is great for a shorty, some tee boxes are best up with many hitting irons creating divots. No sand on tee boxes?
Pro shop staff wasn't pleasant at all, maybe because they were asking $70 and golfnow was asking $50? Either way, they surely weren't happy to see us for some reason.
Marshal was a nice man.
Greens and fairways were in excellent condition and all the sand traps were very well maintained.
Great course to practice irons.
Price is always high at Incline, even on this short course. However, you can't really find a better 18 hole short course than this one!
A First Time Experience
Course is well maintained.
Wide fairways and large greens.
Initially putting is a challenge - fast with breaks o the lakes.
Scenery spectacular
Play tee appropriate to your handicap and you will have a most enjoyable day.
Will definitely play again
Beutiful sefttingggg
GreT. Executive length course with spectaculr mountain scenery. Some interesting holes even for the exxperienced golfer.
Quick Play, Great Views
This is my first time playing the Mountain course and it was great. I went with my son, who is learning golf, and the Mountain course was just the right fit of time and level of play.
Mostly par threes with a few par fours mixed in we played 18 holes in 3 hours. The course has great views and the staff is very friendly.
Pretty good for a par 58 course
The Mountain Course at Incline Village is the sister course to the Championship Course in Incline Village. 18 holes which are largely par threes that require shot making all along the way.
The past couple summers, they have offered Family Sunday which allows children to play free with a paid adult and they have 9" holes on every green plus the regulation holes for adults. Various tee boxes allow for golfers of differing degrees of skill to enjoy this gem on the slopes of Mt. Rose, minutes from Lake Tahoe.
Inside the Lake Tahoe Basin and along the north side of the Lake, there are only a few golfing choices. The two Incline Village tracks are very good selections and for the price, it can be argued the Mountain Course is the better value.
If you are in Tahoe and want something different, try this course.
So BEAUTIFUL & So FUN...
We had a 'golfnow' reservations for 2:20 on a Saturday... got there at 1pm... We thought there was a driving range, but no biggie... they let us tee off right away!
The weather was perfect... mid-80s with a slight breeze. The course was basically empty and did not see another group until Hole #5... where they were a 2-some... and we were a 4-some... We let them play through... and let another 2-some play through on Hole #15.. but, beyond that, the course was wide open and the pace was however you wanted it to be.
Great Par 3 course! Some short and some long.. but no excuses out there. 4 Par 4s, which were fun and challenging; which is the only downside to this course... No Par 5s and only 4 Par 4s... but, if you tee off as far back as you can go, you can certainly stretch it out a bit.
All in All, as long as I can get a good rate (which we did with our golfnow 'hot deal'), I would play there any time I got a chance!
Great course
It's just a beautiful course. I plan on playing many more times.
Too much waiting on this course...
Despite a great course, well maintained, the fact we waited that much degrades significantly the value for money. Marshalls and starter could improve drastically.
Beautiful Mountain Executive course
We loved playing this course. Great Executive Course, by a Great designer.
Course is challenging and very scenic.
The course is extremely enjoyable. Very scenic! Don't worry about your score, enjoy the day!
