Indian Valley Golf Club

Course was in mostly excellent condition, pace of play was pretty good for a Saturday with great weather. Would definitely play here again, but I might get a cart next time. Course has a lot of slope!

First of all, the employees are not friendly to talk to. I called before im on my way.asking about the fairways and green and the current condition in the area. But he answered in a very rude way. Telling me to check ther weather my self on the news.
I checked the weather on my cell phone and weather forcast was to rain after 5pm. so we decided to go. My tee time was at 12noon but after 1hour and a hafl. The rain came early. It was pouring and forgot my umbrella un the car. So i quit plaaying after6 holes. I wish they give us rain check for the day. But they did not cause i paid it online.
Too bad for me, had to travel for 1 hour and 35 minutes to get there. :( :( :(

We teed off 30 minutes late and played 9 holes in 2 hours 45 minutes. The course is not in great condition especially the tee boxes. We paid for 18 holes but we only able to play the first 9 hole. It constantly amazes me that the Pro shop staff are
consistently unfriendly .

Good greens and fairways, The pro shop staff isn't very friendly. Good thing it's about the golf; not the pro shop. Go play the place...

A better working kitchen/hole 9 intercom will be useful. Other than that, a great place overall.

This is a great public course.

It's a 30 min drive for me so, I've played here several times this summer/fall. The course is always in good condition (a few rough spots but nothing big), especially considering the drought. You have to think your way around a bit due to elevation changes, fairway slopes, and hazards that are reachable from the tee. It's a very scenic course, and the staff is very friendly. For ~$35/round during the week, I consider Indian Valley a good deal for this area.

Decent quirky track. Has some fun elevation changes and holes but a handful of stupid blind shots. Nice lakeside setting and not bad shape for the drought but not worth the price of admission in my opinion but that's Marin for ya.

Once you arrive you might as well play... Great time ... It's walkable although the lift was not working and we had to walk up steep hill --- it was brutal!

This course will make you think on every shot. Different elevations, narrow fairways, trees, hazards, wind ....... all these can come into play. Despite the drought, this course has been maintained well. With a friendly staff to boot, I enjoy playing this course.

Indian valley is one of my regular courses. Interesting layout, nice vistas, good condition and never too crowded. Highly recommend it.

Overall, Indian Valley has undergone some vast improvements. The tee boxes and greens are in much better shape than they used to be. A really enjoyable round.

Overall, I would recommend Indian Valley to others. Positives include interesting lay out, nice environment, fair risk / return on most holes, nice folks who work there, pretty good value. Less positive on condition of fairways (especially the edges / lots of hard pan), greens are slow / a bit furry, not much in the way of practice / warm up areas (mats into a hill for driving range). Overall positive experience.

Been awhile since I was here. It's been kept up pretty well and it even looks like there have been some improvements to tees, etc. Considering the drought the course was in very good condition, the greens were in excellent condition. I will definitely be back sooner.

They are working on a few tee boxes so course not perfect but still great. Greens were punched a few weeks ago, so still a little sand but fairways, etc in great shape. This is a great course to challenge your game as they have plenty of elevation, some sidehill shots, and challenging putts. The ambiance is perfect as the course meanders through wooded hills behind Novato. All things considered, one of the best in the Northbay.

Overall was a ok course. The course is beautiful and nice difficult holes. The greens needs more improvement. The speed was over 5 hours for a Thursday!!!!

The carts are old and had spiders and webs inside it. It would be nice if they had course gps on the carts.

A long time golf friend and his son were in town and we enjoyed the day at Indian Valley. We played different tees and the course was great for all our skill levels. Course conditions continue to improve and pace of play was excellent, under 4 hours.

If you haven't seen this course lately do yourself a favor and check it out again. The layout offers plenty of challenge and the mature and undeveloped Marin surroubds are a great backdrop.

Course wasn't too crowded for a Sunday as we had good space between the groups in front and behind after a lengthy stop at the turn. Course has a number of fun elevation changes and tough greens. Greens were in good shape, tee boxes could have used a little love. Would definitely go back.

They should probably get rid of their cheesy driving range in to the water.

Everytime I book through Golf Now, there's a problem at the course at check in. The rate is always different. This time, the offer said " cart included" then you get to the course and they say Nope, it is a different rate. Sucks, and they make no effort to square it away, they say " take it up with Golf Now." Like that will work, everyone has an excuse, kind of like golfers.

I really like this course. There are a few quite difficult holes which makes it challenging and fun. Not too long but you better keep it in the fairways or big trouble awaits you.
I will say however, the bunkers I was in are in need of sand. I call them Flintstones bunkers, full of some sand and lots of gravel... Best not to get in em.
