Beautiful course with lots of challenges.
This course is unique with significant changes in elevation and lots of challenging holes. Really beautiful and quiet. Very well maintained. Worth the drive from Houston.
Great lay out
Nice course ... Pace Of play may be a factor for some good players.
Good golf course, nice green
Only problem was that we were behind a 6-man scramble tournament. Ridiculously long wait on every shot. They should never allow this type of play on golf course. Made our round to be 5 and 1/2 hours. Unfair for other players, either shut down the course or dont allow this type of tournament to mix with other paying customers.
Will be back!
One of the best courses I've played in awhile. Great course for the price. Fast greens though which really makes you concentrate on your putting game.
GREAT COURSE! HAD A BLAST!
Staff was great, course was beautiful! Had a group behind us that would shoot into us which was really frustrating but that was not Eagle Points fault! Overall we had a great day and enjoyed the well kept course!
Will not go again!
Horrible golf experience. It was a 5hour and 20 minute round in 100+ heat. The heats not their fault but the mismanagement is.They had 2 touneys going in and out and they acted like we were inconvinencing them by being there .Little or no marshalling and no attempts were made to speed things up or make us happier. I guess our name should have been Stephani!
Guaranteed to return!
There is not one negative thing to say about this track! I even enjoyed the ride. I feel it is a must play for every avid golf lover in the Houston area.
Very nice condition, interesting holes, scenic, lots of atypical elevation too.
We had a GREAT time at this course. We like to try different courses, and my son and I went even though about 40 minutes from our Seabrook home. We selected based on the 4.5 rating from this site. Are we glad we did!
Greeens were recently sanded or would get a pristine rating, but the fairways were very nice. The scenic nature of this course and the full grown trees make you think you are in North Carolina or something. The elevation drops with generous tree framed fairways are beautiful.
Beware that as first time players at this course there are some doglegs and hazards that are tough to understand until you are through playing the hole. We lost a few strokes this way.
Only $33 per player early afternoon price drop. We were alone on the first nine, then play backed up on second nine. Cart girl offered refreshments several times and have a nice cafe area.
Best in Houston
Wonderful course. Great greens, fairways and nice tall pine trees give shade. Good elevation and challenging holes. Best course value in Houston area.
Aerated and sanded greens should be identified BEFORE you make a booking
Not happy ... usually very happy with Eagle Pointe, but when you show up and pay full price and find aerated and sanded greens, I would expect a discount ... ruined round of golf.
excellent course that demands shot placement
greens had been sanded and aerated but puts rolled true. just slower than normal for this course, which is probably a good thing.
Wonderful Course
Played Eagle Point the day after sanding of greens. Other than that, the course was in great shape. Good value for the quality of course.
Range balls are expensive at $7 a bag.
Excellent value if you can get a deal and do not mind the drive out.
Excellent course with pristine fairways and greens. It is a little bit of a trek out west for me, but it was clearly worth it. No busy roads, no neighborhood distractions, etc. Find a good deal and make the drive out.
Challenging and long , fairways decent condition and greens are maintained well
A lot of trees and narrow fairways . Can't use driver in every hole you have to strategy to play some holes . The greens are hard to read but challenging .
Looking Good!
I don't know if you put as much importance on the condition of the putting surface as me but if you think it is important to have good greens, then you will like the greens here. They were punched sometime last month and are not perfect but they are still better than any place I've been lately. They are rolling very true, not real fast but very challenging. The rest of the place is in great shape and Eagle Point is the best course in the area for any price, but the Golf Now deal makes it irresistible. Go have fun!
Best to know the lay out, need good tee to score well.
Greens were in good shape except for some ball marks that golfers did not clean. When we do not fix ball marks right away they take much longer to repair, if we would all do our part in cleaning ball marks the greens at courses would be much nicer to putt on.
Great track
Great course for the money. Played in 3.5 hours. Only problem encountered was the love bugs.
Great course in excellent shape
Eagle Pointe is a good layout with many elevation changes. It currently is in excellent shape, the best of any courses I have played this year.
Great Course!
My brother and I celebrated his bday playing a round at Eagle Pointe and it was a great experience. The course is well kept very organized. For $47 bucks its a definite value!
Best Maintained course in Houston
Eagle Point gets my vote as consistently the best maintained, daily fee golf course in all of Houston. Tradition, Woodforest, et.al. have nothing on Eagle Point ! ( too bad they had just sanded - but still ! ) Some of the less traveled areas are in Redstone Tournament condition - and it's only May. If they could open the fairway left and incorporate the creek all the way up the left side for more 'risk reward' on # 6 it would make for the most aesthetic hole on the course. Back up the tee on #16 and make it a Par five, open up the right side second shot landing area to incorporate the pond, and this would be one of the best courses in the State - in my opinion ! :-) Bunkers could use some work but it is a public course. With a Golf Now HOT deal you must make the drive and play Eagle Point ! ! !
