Franklin Bridge Golf Club
About
Franklin Bridge Golf Club (formerly known as The Crossing GC) runs alongside the Harpeth River, which borders 15 of the course's 18 holes. Opened in 1970, the course has a classic layout that will appeal to a wide range of skill levels. Some of the holes definitely present a formidable test, the 16th and 18th for example, which have been hailed by local media as two of the best and most challenging holes in the state, but it is the par-4 ninth with its island green that is the course's signature hole. Although the layout offers a fair challenge, there is also some room for error that makes it more approachable for beginners. In addition to the course, Franklin Bridge Golf Club boasts an 8-acre driving range as well as chipping and putting greens equipped with a practice sand bunker.

Great Bang For Your Buck
Franklin Bridge is one of my favorite courses in the area. Excellent value, and they do a great job of catering to all players. Seemed like they had a tee time go off every 10 minutes, and I only had to wait between shots 2-3 times. I wish the practice area was bigger, but I know they are already expanding it.
Great condition but
Holes 8 and 9 r tore up lost a ball in the fairway among the piles of dirt on 8 and 9 is a par 3 or 4 at 290
4 foursomes ahead of us at the turn. What is this?
Played there many times
Charged extra to ride alone during covid concerns. Pro shop employee drove to the first tee to charge an extra $20.00 for cart, after teed off!!! WOW How rude and what about golf etiquette ??? Social grace was lacking. I had to leave without playing my round, and no refund, no apology. RUDE RUDE RUDE and way overpriced for a public course. Gaylord Springs and The Hermitage are cheaper and both are PGA tournament courses from the past. They have nothing posted online or in the pro shop, and claim no liability for endangering your health.
Greens are horrible
Greens are very patchy and dead. Fairways and tee boxes in good condition. Doing some major upgrades and should be great when completed. Don’t agree with full price for bad greens.
Never play here
If you’re looking for a 6 hour round, this is the course for you! The course is horribly run. Greedy management/establishment packs groups right on top of each other. Course marshal is useless. I can sleep better knowing I’ve warned my fellow golfing community.
Needs a lot of work
My primary complaint would be the condition of the course. Just rough all the way around. Greens had a good bit of poa which made greens bumpy and the Bermuda still not fully in from winter dormancy. Pot holes and mud puddles present frequently throughout the course. Almost broke my ankle in one. Grass pretty spotty on tee boxes too. And the course had construction equipment working on several holes reconstructing tee boxes and fairways. The course should focus on improving the condition of existing facilities before redesigning
Lot’s of promise
I’ve played this course and it’s former self many times over the past 30 years. Until today I had not played the course in over a year. I love the layout of the course, but the greens today were below average. There was Poa Growing on all of the greens and some greens were almost unputtable today. The putts bounced and there were large patches of poa on the greens. I like the improvements over the past 3/4 years since the course has been under new ownership and the staff attitudes are far superior to those of 4 years ago, but the greens are a disappointment! Franklin Bridge, you can do better, especially for the prices being charged today!!
Dry fairways
Honestly for spending $72.00 for 18, I would have expected better. The best fairways were the ones that were flooded recently. Anywhere else on the course is like hitting off of the parking lot concrete. I’m sure I’ll be silly enough to come back and play it again but boy I hope they put the sprinklers on.
Excellent Course!
This was my first time playing this course. I loved the layout! The course was very clean. The greens were fast. There were not only challenging long holes, but challenging short holes also. I was quite impressed with the course overall and will definitely be playing it again soon.
Great Course
Very nice course and very organized, Marshalls did their jobs well and the staff was great.
