Lakeland Golf Club
About
Lakeland Golf Club originally opened in 1964 and in 2002 it was expanded to an 18-hole championship course. Barry Serafin reworked the traditional design of the original layout into a challenging course that is still playable for a range of skill levels. The five diverse sets of tees make it even more accommodating. Seasoned players will find the championship tees to be a formidable test but the gold tees are tame enough for beginners. Its versatility makes the golf course an excellent venue for tournaments and outings. The course can be tight in some spots, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. Lakeland Golf Club's fairways are generous and seemingly tame but they are bordered by strategically positioned bunkers. There are also meandering streams and a few lakes that come into play on a few holes.

Excellent value.
This course was laid out beautifully ,it as rather long so not good for beginners. Very nice clubhouse with outside seating and bar.
This is an Ok course , especially for the price. One thing missing that could make it much more unenjoyable, there are no yardage markers anywhere. Did not see any yardage help. No 200, 150, or, 100 to be found on any hole. Had to make an eyeball guess on every shot from the fairway. Can't cost much for a red, white and blue dot on the cart path to indicate distance. Really detracted from what could be a much better experience !
Great price
The course was in good shape with all rain this year..if you hit the green they would stay all the time
One green was in bad shape otherwise the course
was in excellent shape and provided a wonderful
experience and a terrifically memorial labor day.
Staff and accoutrements were friendly as well
as the fellow patrons. PTL for small town
values.
Nice Golf Club
Few greens could use a little TLC but other than that excellent course, fun to play, Very scenic and challenging water and hazard placement.
Mr Wendell
Nice out o the way course in the country nice, always in good shape! One of the front desk person is quite short with her words and can be quite RUDE! But easy to go on for a great price!
Nice Experience
Early afternoon round on a Thursday. Able to play 18 holes in just under three hours. Conditions were better than expected, given some of the past reviews. Greens in decent condition for late summer. Having never played the course before got caught out in the high grass areas from blind tee shots on a couple of holes. All in all a nice course and nice experience and would play again,
4 groups on 1st Tee
Just moved to Central Ohio area, so we have been playing different courses. Booked a hot deal at Lakeland golf club on 07/26. When we arrived there were 4 groups on the first Tee. I asked about this in the pro shop and the attendant told be "their tee times were from 11:30 to 1:00. Then how did we book a 12:50?. I've seen this about time I played here, 6 in one group going off number 1. Course is extremely fried at this point, fairways, greens ALL areas. Skip this course find somewhere "Windy Knoll" where course is very good and they follow tee times.
Terrible greens
This is a very nice course until you get to the greens, almost unplayable compared to the courses I normally play. The ball bounces all the way to the hole making putting nearly impossible.
Unbelievable value
Used a hot deal, cost less than $1 per hole. Course was in very good shape. Talking to the manager they have done a lot of work to the course. They are putting on an addition to the club house that will have 2 golf simulators. Also have a very nice bar area (was not open during my round). Greens was soft and slow.
the greens had been aerated and seeded and they
needed some rain as we were informed. other
than that it is a beautiful layout with very friendly
and accomadating personnel.highly recommend.
