Twenty seven championship holes await travelers visiting south Florida's scenic beaches. Grand Palms Golf & Country Club in Pembroke Pines also offers three nines: Royal, Sabal and Grand. All three are famous for having some of the best greens in the area, and the golf courses are played in three separate combos. The Grand/Royal 18, designed by Ward Northrup, comes in at 6,881, most of which is blanketed with palm trees and tropical foliage. The longest and most challenging of the Grand Palms' golf courses, Grand/Royal features some especially memorable water holes. A tight layout with raised greens (perfect for testing your shot-making talents), beware the Grand's bunkers, strategically placed along the greensides.

Greens were in real bad shape. Change over after 9
Holes needs to be protected. We had to play same 9 twice (they have 3 nines).

Neglect

Greens are neglected. Courses overall continue to degrade. Paying anything over $35 a round is robbery.

Extremely Bad Greens and Poor Off-Course Amenities

The 18 greens in these two 9-hole courses are in terrible shape. They have big portions of it with no grass and just dirt and the parts that do have grads are full of grass sprouts that are not the type you expect on a putting green. Needless to say that despite having a good game, putting was made more difficult by these conditions.
The 19th Hole was managed by a lady that does noy like her job or is in a bad mood and poor manners. Not only that, on a Friday, she closed the bar and left around 3 pm, when the course closes at 6 pm and there were a lot of players still in the course.
I paid high season prices (green fee) and did not get a good return for it.

Dog Track

This is the worst course I've played in memory.

From start to finish it's in shockingly poor condition...garbage all over the place, fungus or damage on 100% of the greens, weeds everywhere and absolutely zero course maintenance evident. We even saw an employee drive a cart across the tee box on one of the holes. Based on the layout I imagine it was a gem at some point but I wouldn't put even a day 1 beginner player on this dog track.

And to whoever gave this place a good review recently I highly suspect you're affiliated in some way with this dump...very uncool to do that to fellow golfers.

the $58 fee was approx. $58 too much.

and I almost forgot, the girl in the restaurant was rude and unfriendly. No food available beyond snacks to start (way overpriced for beer and snacks) and, at the turn, they only had 2 hotdogs left...this place screamed "we don't care"

Sabal course is bad, avoid it

The fairways were okay but the greens were terrible on the Sabal course. Comparatively the Grand course was decent and the greens were thick but puttable at least ...

Average course to play.

Greens need much work and TLC.
The course could be a Florida premier but it just seems like who ever is managing it Wants to just get by. Price for course conditions should be no more than $25. Staff and starters are very good. I think it’s time to sell the course to a good management company or the city of Pembroke Pines. And make it a great course it has great potential!!

Enjoyable Round

First time playing this course. The starter (sorry, didn't catch his name) was FABULOUS! Our group had gotten split during booking, and he magically got us put back together! Course conditions were's fabulous, but were fine. Greens were a bit weak, with spotty grass issues. We loved the layout, with many fun and challenging holes. Well worth our time, and we all enjoyed the round. Outdoor food tent at finish was a nice touch!
